Now I have also had some questions from clients which I feel I have fully answered however I know some may still be wondering - so here is some information about the lamp I use from nailchemy themselves and hope this answers any thoughts or worries you may have. Myself and nailchemy will always ensure I am working with the safest products. 🖤

There has been a significant discussion on social media recently regarding Nail Lamps, and we believe it's essential to share some crucial insights about our High-Performance LED UV Lamp and electrical product safety in the UK.

Let me begin by emphasising that all our UV curable products have undergone rigorous scientific testing in conjunction with our lamp to ensure they achieve a complete and proper cure within the specified times mentioned on our website and product labels. At Nailchemy, we highly recommend using our lamp exclusively with Nailchemy UV curing products. We make this recommendation because our lamp has undergone thorough testing, complying with both the UK Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

These regulations entail an extensive battery of safety tests that manufacturers must adhere to if they intend to import electrical lamps into the market. Accredited organisations like Eurofins can perform these tests, albeit at a significant cost. It's a legal requirement for every manufacturer that prints their name or trademark on an electrical product to possess comprehensive technical documentation for their electrical devices, including all test results down to the component level.

Since Brexit there have been changes to the regulations regarding this and whereas previously importers were classed as distributors, now they are classed as manufacturers and hold a much greater responsibility when it comes to electrical product safety.
While we would love to offer a broader range of LED lamps, such as portable or starter versions, the testing costs involved present a significant challenge, especially for a smaller company like Nailchemy. Each device's testing expenses make it difficult for us to bring multiple options to market.

We acknowledge that there are other lamps in the market that may resemble ours or boast similar UV wavelengths. However, it's vital to understand that any lamp other than a genuine Nailchemy Lamp purchased directly from us has not undergone testing with our products and may lack the comprehensive documentation required to support compliance with UK regulations for electrical and product safety.

It's worth noting that the presence of a CE mark or UKCA mark on a device doesn't always guarantee that it has undergone thorough testing in the EU/UK.

If you have any questions or require additional information, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are here to provide you with the utmost transparency and ensure your safety and satisfaction with our products.

Having a little marble play time this afternoon - and thought we could do a little step by step! How stunning is this marble combination using Nailchemy Limited onyx as a base, mixed with royal blood, paw paw, saltstone and the beautiful silver artisan gel paint - in love with how this marble turned out! 🖤💙
