General information
Courses normally consist of 6 sessions on Monday evenings plus one breastfeeding class on a Wednesday evening. There are also occasional Saturday morning workshops. The best time to start the course is when you are between 22 and 32 weeks pregnant.
THE COURSE COVERS
* Looking after yourself while pregnant and expecting more than one baby
* How your babies will be born - different scenarios including straightforward vaginal birth
* Pain relief and how to help yourself in labour
* Common hospital procedures including caesarean sections
* Infant feeding, feeding more than one
* Practical baby care and tips for caring for twins
* Looking after yourselves after your babies have arrived.
Group sizes are kept small and there is plenty of opportunity to chat to other parents-to-be. Many groups continue to meet up after the course has ended.
