With the festival next week and the joys of having our town in perpetual traffic, I will be closing the bakery from Thursday 22nd to Monday 26th. It will allow me to get some shut eyes in the process too.

Good morning Reading. Just a little reminder of the French festival at the Forbury gardens this weekend. This will be my 4th year attending the Bastille day fest. There will be lots of fun activities for kids and lots of food to eat.

The shop will also be open on Saturday between 9.30-3pm

Good evening Reading. NEXT WEEKEND (13-14 JULY) I will be holding a stand at the Forbury Gardens to celebrate the Bastille day. So this is what I am going to do

The shop on Britten Road will be open and the lovely Anne Marie will be holding the fort while I am at the market. The shop will be open from 9.30 to 3pm

I will aim to be the first one open and ready at the market. I will also have my coffee van to serve great coffee to go with your pastries. And you have the stomach for it, some cheese (from the cheesemonger) on bread to dunk into your brew... Yes it is something we do in my part of the country 🤣

So come along next week for lots of great activities and fun, eating, dancing and drinking.

Not too long to go for the Bastille day festival 2024. As the festival comes on the day we all celebrate la prise de la bastille. The organisers have worked hard to make it a great family day out with food, drinks and entertainment.

As I have done for the past 4 years, I will also be attending with a stall serving your favourite pastries, Bread from and this year also serving great coffee beautifully roasted by Phil coffee.

If you can't make it all the way down, the shop will also be open on that day between 9.30am-2pm
