Today I helped an elderly lady whose phone had been cut off because she had been too unwell to get to the Post Office to pay the bill. After getting the phone reconnected we set up all her bills on direct debit so she doesn't need to worry about getting them paid in the future. We don't want to leave a mess for the next generation. I recommend it to my older clients who are a bit overwhelmed with all the material possessions they no longer need.

Who remembers Coop stamps? I came across these when I was decluttering with a client. My, how times have changed!

When we become overwhelmed with clutter it's often because of our buying habits.

But when they are opened and you need to put them away, there is no space I hear you cry, we’re all in disarray!
That lovely cashmere jumper, which sits on a pile unsteady, oh no you say, I have nine of them already!
The novelty slippers you will never wear, yet another teddy bear, shove them all into a drawer and better say a prayer!
What will I do with all this stuff, do I really need a furry m**f? My Christmas hangover is feeling rough, don’t I already have enough?!
Send in the declutter fairy, Fiona will make you feel merry! She’ll help you choose what to lose, then reward her with a sherry!
Be it clutterbug or hoarder, I will help re-order. With a wave of my wand, all will be gone and you too will be a sorter.

When I sort through my client's things I'm always on the lookout for things which shouldn't be given away to charity. In the photo are some of the things I suggested to my client be sold at auction, making her a four figure sum. It could be said I pay for myself!
