Welcome to Haircare Holy Grails. My new series where I share my favourite product every month.

Well I’ll have good intentions to do it each month, but you know me 😂

So I am pleased to announce the first in the series is: COLOR WOW DREAM COCKTAIL (coconut infused, leave in treatment)

What does it do I hear you ask?
This coconut infused product adds a layer of hydration to your hairs surface. It makes your hair feel smooth, it detangles & makes hair less frizzy. It even protects your hair from heat.

But who can use this product?
This product is suitable for humans with coloured treated, dry & dehydrated hair.

But Lj how do we use it?
After you wash your hair, you simply towel dry. Then apply 2-3 pumps of dream cocktail through your hair. Mind to leave an inch from your roots! Then continue to style your hair as usual. This product is heat activated.

Remember to give the bottle a good shake before use!

It’s finally love island season! Which means summer is nearly here (finally 😂) it’s also been a while since I posted a blonde..

So let’s give ya the low down on how you blondies can look after your hair in the summer (when it arrives 😂)

Here are my top 5 tips:

✨ Sun Protection - use UV protection for your hair. Wearing a hat will also help protect you from those gorgeous rays.

✨ Pre Swim Care - get your hair wet before entering the pool/sea. This will prevent your hair soaking up as much excess water (remember hair works similarly to a sponge) Also applying a leave in conditioner prior will also prevent absorption.

✨ Post Swim Care - Rinse your hair with fresh water immediately after (unless you are washing it of course)

✨ Limit Heat - blondes should already be careful with how much heat they use on their hair but in the summer just be extra mindful.

✨ Hydrate! - finally hydration stations people! Drinking plenty of water helps keep your hair hydrated from the inside out!

Life outside the salon: May Edition. Let’s pretend I haven’t forgotten to do this for a few months 🤣 •

May was the perfect balance of hibernating & socialising. I met friends for coffee & walks along the river, did a photoshoot, saw some pretty skies. But I mostly spent the month being kind to myself and taking things at a slower pace.

It was super exciting to learn that I was a published model this month too! 👏🏼

autistic.girls came in for her usual root touch up: then messaged me 3 days later saying seeing my hair made her miss having colour. So I free’d up some space and we made it happen.

So you may remember seeing me posting about sponsoring an absolute little firecracker & her karting journey.. ()

Well I’d like to introduce you all again. This is Darcie. Darcie is 7 years old & such a strong willed powerhouse. This is a post to raise awareness.

At the beginning April 2024 Darcie was taken poorly & was rapidly transferred to John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. When she was there she was diagnosed with Encephalitis.

Encephalitis is an uncommon but VERY serious condition. It is an inflammation of the brain (often caused by viral infections)

Darcie was put into an induced coma for a few days. She then had 10 days of steroids & plasma dialysis. This was a really tough time for her family, friends & us small businesses who work with & support Darcie.

She had an amazing team caring for her whilst in hospital and we have been told today she is recovering nicely, with hopes to return home soon.

The long term effects of Encephalitis are unknown currently & most likely won’t find out until Darcie returns to school.

Encephalitis can happen to anyone & at any time: regardless of age, gender or race.

Darcie you are such an inspiration & I am in constant awe of you. You take everything in your stride & although you are a dinky little lady you show me that no dreams are too big. We as girls/women shouldn’t be shrunk to fit into societal boxes.

I will continue to support you & am here for anything you or your family need during this time. Cant wait to see you back in the kart.

The first colour appointment was for a balayage and a cut - that was back in April 2023.. since then we have an appointment every 6-8 weeks for a wash, cut & blowdry. Occasionally we add a toner to the service if we feel it’s needed.

A colour transformation but not as you’d expect.

Who is guilty of hearing “colour transformation” and automatically thinking vivids or blonde? Because I know I was for a while.

Becky came in for a consultation & told me she wanted a change. I was shocked when the inspo pic that Becky brought in for me was a natural copper!! But I went into great detail with her to ensure it was what she wanted & that it would be a process to go back blonde should she want to in the future.

I carried out Becky’s skin test & I took a strand test to make sure I chose the right colours to get Becky to her desired goal.

Okaaay it’s not often I get cocky about my work, but faaackkk this is a bloody good’un! This is my favourite outcome to date!

I wanted to do sunset hair, so I did sunset hair. I honestly adore my clients. The trust they have in me is unmatched & well the serotonin that a creative colour gives you is like no other (for me & my clients 😜)

I am also so grateful that you can have a professional job & now have the hair of your dreams. No more boxes to be squished into. Although some 💩 companies are still lacking but most are allowing us to express ourselves in the best way.
