Repairing what cowboy builders did a year ago. Replaced an asbestos roof with bitumen sheets without extra support. Charged the old lady owner a huge amount and the roof couldnt cope, not surprisingly.
Reframed and decked with a 20 yr guaranteed rubber roof.
No more leaks and a very happy customer.
Detest cowboy builders..

A little, in betwwen festival’ deck job complete.

And thats a wrap…. 2nd garage conversion finished today becoming a highly insulated lounge with linked smoke/heat detectors throughout.
Plus loft boarded today (that was hot work)

The first of 2 garage conversions finished.

Purpose built shed/outhouse made
All ready for the client to empty their garage so i can start their garage conversion
Boarded and overlayed with featheredge board for weather protection.
Floor raised on tanalised bearers sitting on slate
Clear perspex roofing with lead flashing for extra light

Some jobs you just go and quote and think ooh I really want to do that. This bridge restoration was one of them.
Totally unusable, dangerous and downright sad.
Metalwork wire brushed back to metal, repainted and new threads.
Save as houses and i didn’t get wet once 😂

Little bit of room rejuvenation.
Customer needed another room for her growing family, so what was a box room and an adjacent loft/storage space has now made way for a master bedroom. Walls moved, solar panel plumbing adjusted and plastered.
It’s now a fab space which gives the family the space they need and deserve.

Little job.
Shed was on a sand layer slab base and the tree roots were pushing the metal shed over.
Dismantled, dug out 2 ton of roots and soil.
Laid concrete base to a 6” depth and remade the shed.
Job done in minus degree

Hallway refurb completed.
Ceiling and floor ripped out.
Adjustment of plumbing and lights with additional wiring for new outside light. Kitchen doorway opened up for larger door.
New frames fitted and firecheck frame fitted to garage doorway.
New doors fitted to lounge, garage and kitchen.
Plastered throughout.
New skirting and architrave fitted along with a new central light.

Little bit of larch screening over landscape fabric with the added bonus of having some left over to make 2 trellis panels for customer.

New laminate flooring to 3 rooms.
Customers purchased the flooring from Costco which had its own underlay fitted to each board, i was sceptical but it actually worked really well and looks great.

Had slabs which where sunken and bolder retaining wall
All taken up levelled, 8 ton of mot compacted, a sett border, new brick retaining wall and 3 ton of gravel driveway

New client supplied worktops and sink fitted.

Finished the porch with a new step and tiled entrance.

New porch installed.

Replacement porch completed.

Part garage conversion. New lobby and toilet added.

Client had leaky Roof above bay window and a very cold/noisy bedroom due little to no insulation.
New rubber roof installed and retiled with acoustic installation under.

New patio and outside sink with new drain installed

Every days a learning day.
New suspended ceiling fitted for an existing client

Small privacy fence job using larch screening

Bespoke bar, table and wall shelves for customers man cave complete.

Finally finished flat conversion.
2 walls out, new wall built further back. New rads and electrics then plastered.

Another little window replacement.

Little bit of accident damage this week.
Customer’s industrial unit had a car drive into their wall damaging internal, external and door frame.
Both walls rebuilt and door frame fixed.

Velux replacement on 3rd story flat due to the old one not having the correct flashing (just flash taped) and causing the frame to rot

Weekend job.
2 door cills replaced.

Fence and shed job today

Another knock through, this time in a garage for a new window.
