Yorkshire Framer

Bold mounts and simple frame colours make this gorgeous print a very special piece.

Big fan of The Smiths, so this project was a lovely one to dig our teeth into.
We built two separate frames and added a bold fluro pink edge to match the print itself.

This diptych was a really fun piece to work with. It was in need of a little playful vibrancy. Adding a bright orange internal packer worked wonders!

Unbelievably cool Katie Benn artwork, this is from a set of three we framed in matching fluro blue boxes WITH fluro blue backing panels.

A frame within a frame!
Looking after a child’s artwork is one thing, but this project involved preserving this original one of a kind gold frame at the same time. 👌

Gorgeous African sapele.
This custom section was milled into a very deep float frame for , it incorporates a sub frame and hanging system. This enables the artwork to sit flush against the wall.
Sapele makes a really lovely alternative to Walnut, at a much lower cost. While the hanging system makes for very secure wall fixing.

Unbelievable opportunity to frame a very rare and frankly incredible poster.
A wonderful example of just how amazing can be for an artwork.

These posters showcasing a legendary furniture maker and now encapsulated within a clear acrylic frame, including clear screws.
Leaving the timber subframe exposed is a nod to the design aesthetic of the furniture.

I’m still a big fan of the bobbin frame, what’s your take on yellow?
I often think that it can be tricky to hang unless you have contrasting wall colours.

Creating traditional and distressed look frames is one of my favourite things to do.
There is always a risk i’ll go ‘too far’ or be ‘too messy’ and I’m sure some would argue that this one has.
But as with all picture framing, it is entirely subjective and that is what makes it so damn wonderful.

Such a dream to create these frames for original screen printed Beatles posters.
Lovingly applied to canvas backings, making my job much easier, they sit within these bold and super vibrant neon boxes.

I’ve introduced Sapele to my range of available timbers.
Gorgeous in colour and grain, and incredibly versatile.
