Really upsetting. The lives of too many tenants are blighted by damp living conditions. We need to overhaul social housing regulations - and reform the private rented sector - to protect peoples’ health, here in Middleton and across the UK. The Government has failed to do this.

Good to be in West Middleton today with a great team of Labour Cllrs 😊 we were posting Christmas cards and a General Election leaflet (🤞 we’re not still waiting on a GE this time next year!).

On Wednesday, I met with the Palestinian Ambassador to the UK in Parliament. We discussed the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and I told the Ambassador that innocent civilians are in the thoughts and prayers of people living across Rochdale Borough 🙏 🤲
