Join us this October school holiday at Middleton Arena for a variety of fun activities. There’s gymnastics, multisport games, arts and crafts, team bonding exercises and swimming*

*swimming sessions are Wednesday and Friday so children must bring their swimming kit on these days

£20 per day or £85 for the week

Elderly resident of Tintern Place in Heywood had been unable to maintain the upkeep of their communal garden.
The garden had become lifeless and w**d ridden with no real purpose.

Then 4 weeks ago a the team of volunteers from the New Pioneers programme, along with the RBH NET team have worked tirelessly w**ding, painting flower beds, planting year round perennials and fruit, vegetables and herbs.

The garden has been purposefully planned to be low maintenance for the residents yet functional with an abundance of fruit, herbs and vegetables for the residents to enjoy.

Rochdale Training Academy Engineers are due to revamp a free standing BBQ for the residents and Vintage Worx volunteers in Falinge Park will be up-cycling the old picnic bench.

On Tuesday the RHS - Royal Horticultural Society came to visit the garden as Tintern Communal Garden entered a ‘Its Your Neighbourhood entry’ as part of North West in Bloom.

Every Tuesday 10-12 at Spotland Community Centre we are delivering sewing and crochet classes, which are progressing every week. Currently we have 10 lovely attendees and 2 regular volunteers Lisa Brasher teaching crochet and Celia Davies sewing classes. Come and join us so we can be creative together 🧶🧵🧶🧵
