Assalamu alaikum,

We would like to extend an invitation to all students, staff and female relatives to ‘One Day in Ramadan’ - our school’s first ever Ramadan production.

Led by our Year 9 and 10 students, it will consist of a play, speeches, nasheeds, and much more!

Our centrepiece play ‘One Day in Ramadan’ will chronicle the daily life of Maymunah, her family and friends as they learn, reflect and renew Ramadan lessons.

The event will be held on Thursday 7 March between 9-10am in the school hall.

Insha Allah, we pray that it is a blessed start to Ramadan 2024 for us at school and you at home.

Refreshments will be served for female relatives. We look forward to your presence, Insha Allah.

Sunnah of the Week 09/01/24 - to practice Sabr (patience) and Shukr (gratitude).

Sabr (patience): ‘O believers! Seek comfort in patience and prayer. Allah is truly with those who are patient.’ (Quran 2:153)

Shukr (gratitude): The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “By the One in whose hand is my soul, among the blessing you will be questioned about on the Day of Resurrection are the cool shade, fresh dates, and cold water.” (Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2369)

Sabr and Shukr are wonderful things,
The praises to Allah we should always sing.
When things go right it’s from Him not me,
And when they are wrong we get through patiently.

The dua when waking up:

There is none worth of worship but Allah alone, Who has no partner, His is the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is able to do all things. Glory is to Allah. Praise is to Allah. There is none worth of worship but Allah. Allah is the Most Great. There is no might and no power except by Allah's leave, the Exalted, the Mighty. My Lord, forgive me.

Ayah of the week:

Having strength: “God does not burden any soul with more than it can bear.” [Quran 2:286]

The burden of life may seem too much for us to handle sometimes, but remember that Allah the Merciful believes that we can get through it.

He sees the potential in us and he Knows we can endure it with perseverance. Begin your new year with enthusiasm and curiosity. Embrace challenges, stay organised, seek help when needed, and make meaningful connections with peers and educators. Success awaits!

Jazakallah to each and every person that donated for the Morocco and Libya emergency appeal.

For everyone that brought cakes, baked a cake, bought treats and snacks to sell or just bought things as their contribution to the cause, we have successfully managed to raise £507 over the two days bake sale and non-uniform on the girl's side.

The money has been passed over to One Nation who will distribute it accordingly.

May Allah accept it from all of us.

Love for the Sunnah:

(Surah Aale Imran, verse 31)

RCM supports any activity that promotes good health and prevention.

So long as the school vaccination programme does not breach any Islamic jurisprudence. Vaccines must not contain any form of porcine. RCM will continue to work alongside the NHS in promoting good health, the choice is ultimately with the parent and child.
