On May the 17th it is the 3rd birthday of The Wax Blooms shop 🥳

Sadly it will also be our last day😢.

The industry has changed so much since we started out on social media back in 2020, the way people shop has changed and our lives have changed.
We knew when lockdown passed and people were spending more time at home that people wouldn’t need home fragrance products as much so we offered other stock alongside this.
When the prices went up at the suppliers we knew this was coming and I cut the overheads to compensate. I offered delivery to Royton for just £1 (I barely ever charged this) when I opened the new premises as I knew not everybody could get to me. Every change made has been to benefit the costs to the customers.
I put everything I had and more besides into the Royton shop and after speaking with all of you I was so sure when I went online only and then moved to new premises a lot of you would still shop with me, this would then have allowed me to promote the business further.
Unfortunately it seems out of sight out of mind 🤷‍♀️
With that said we would not have survived this long without the support of you all from the get go and for that I am truly thankful to every single one of you. Our time in the Royton shop was truly the best ❤️ and we loved chatting with you all so much.
I will be keeping a small list of people who still want me to supply them with melts and will occasionally possibly offer candles/gift sets like when we first started out. If this is something that would interest you please drop me a message to go on the list so I have numbers to see if it is worth my while.
The shop will remain open until the 17th May as will the website (I will post the hours for this week in a separate post later and then every Sunday for the week ahead)
I will be contacting a few of you privately today so keep an eye out on your inboxes/emails!

Knowing how much everybody is struggling with the cost of living, I decided to play down Valentine’s Day. I don’t think everybody needs another commercialised day ramming in their face when they are struggling to put food on the table. However there are lots of things available in the shop that will make perfect gifts. The most expensive thing is £28.

So I have 2 of these wax warmers below brand new in box. Ceramic linen effect with using hot plate technology so no bulbs required & a removable silicone dish.
After testing one today it’s taken 35 minutes to melt one section of a snap bar 🥱 I’m not happy with that amount of time so these have been reduced to £17.50 to clear.
They work perfectly fine once wax has melted.

Another boring note. Orders must now only be placed over the website. Unfortunately I’ve had a couple of cancelled orders and non collections of things people have asked me to save.
Whilst I appreciate things pop up and people can’t always make it or have other priorities these are things I have set aside & have turned other people away for as the items have been saved for someone else and then I end up out of pocket as I lose 2 potential sales.
The website is open 24 hours 7 days a week 365 days a year and has almost every payment type available, it also helps keep my inventory upto date. (Oh it’s also not free I pay a yearly fee for it!)
If there is anyone who genuinely struggles using the website for any reason or can’t find what they are looking for please drop me a what’s app of fb message and I will try and accommodate you.
I had relaxed this rule when I was working from home but I am going back to it with immediate effect.
