An evening with the boys and their new fluffy distraction, Tiny Tim! π π»
Ralph had a great night, square numbers and some comprehension! π
Robin is coming on a treat with his phonics and reading and his counting and number recognition! π
Reeve was amazing as always. Showing off his new addition skills and smashed almost all his year 1 common exception words. π
However, Nikki gave me a Grinch mug. Wondering if she's telling me something π€£
I even got home in time to take the doggies for a walk with one of my best buddies β€οΈ
As the last exams are looming we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our students and families from this year.
Thank you for your support, flexibility and for being as amazing as ever!
We have had some tears, stresses but most of all fun and to watch all your confidence grow has been an absolute pleasure.
Good luck to you all β€οΈ
Tha class of 2024 is now done.
We look forward to the next adventures
Hey guys π
Trying my best to be present on here but GCSEs are taking over my life hahah!
Friday was a night with the girls! I can't believe how far these 3 have come on in the time we have been with them! It's always a pleasure to have them and it's lovely to watch them flourish and gain confidence in things they thought they would never be able to do.
We then had Izzy, we are getting to the end now of our time as he GCSEs are nearly over. Her confidence going into these exams is something else!
It's going to be a very emotional week this week coming!
π π€©
Tonight's sessions;
English language practice. So proud of Olly and his progress! His PEED paragraphs were pretty much bang on without my input π
The boys focused on maths, times tables, some English practice and ended on Dogman, of course! Their confidence is blooming and it's lovely to be building up a rapport and watching them flourish. π
We then had physics for tomorrow's exam! π some amazing knowledge and answers! You will absolutely smash tomorrow!
Sorry we have been quiet. It's so busy with GCSEs!
Monday was a night with the boys β€οΈ
From phonics to counting. From crystal art to maths mystery.
You name it, we did it π
All three are smashing it & I'm so proud of the progress everyone is making! π
Feeling very wholesome!
Monday;
A night with the boys. Robin is coming on a treat with his phonics and number recognition.
We are trying to get Reeve phonics screening ready! He smashed his words (including alien) out of the park yesterday π
Ralph beat me at hangman... again π€£ and we did some maths mystery and times tables.
We then had Harry. Last session with him for a while. Ready to smash the rest of his SATs this week! π Little Teddy even wanted to join in. Getting his pens ready to learn.π§Έ
Then last we had Ava. Her confidence is growing every single week. It's lovely to see. We had expanding and indices laws lastnight. π π
Sunday;
Maths GCSE prep and English literature for tomorrow's exam. Icepops π§ because of the heat were a good call.
We had a cheeky gap in the day so went on a stroll down the canal to get some steps in πΆββοΈ
We've also had History revision and 11+ prep.
Massive well done to everyone today and good luck to everyone doing SATs & GCSEs this week β€οΈ
Please remember that results do not define who you are.
Sunday - the busiest day of the week
Some English literature recap. Important to know what will be covered on each paper and also how long you get etc. We also covered English Langauge paper 2 - question 5. Letters, articles, reviews etc. βοΈ π
Then moved on to gap filling for maths GCSE. Some pesky questions causing trouble in mocks. Most of the time it's the way they're worded that confuses people. We got this though πͺ
Then had higher maths GCSE prep. Covered quadratic Nth Term and inequalities. Ava did so well with this. Her perseverance with topics is outstanding! π§
Then more maths for year 10 and GCSE prep. Covering topics for end of year test and mocks. Direct proportion and simultaneous equations. Cupcakes were also offered which is always a cheeky bonus! π§
Lastly, we had GCSE English. Recapped The Sign Of The Four. I'm going to be so sad when this student leaves. I love Sherlock and there school is the only school that covers this for literature. We then also went through a physics paper too! π©βπ«
Friday with the girls π
Language features - revision mainly but prepping for year 10 and GCSEs.
Some substitution and algebra recap for returning to school this week.
New topic for Leah. Interior and exterior angles in regular and irregular polygons.
Really good work this week girls π
Wishing you all a very happy Eid β€οΈ
Monday;

It was a busy busy busy one β€οΈ
Sunday;
Very busy & full day βοΈ
GCSE maths mostly, some algebra, trigonometry, expanding triple brackets etc.
We also covered creative writing for English GCSE π creating character and settings, trying to get some creativity flowing.
We also had some 11+ prep too! Verbal reasoning has to be my favourite at the moment. The sense of accomplishment with some of the questions is a great feeling for both tutor and student.
Well done tosay π
Friday;
Multiplications, Nth Term, SPaG... you name it, we covered it β€οΈ
Wednesday and Thursday;
Lots of GCSE maths prep... not long to go now!
Also, a letter writing GCSE English activity. Do teenagers learn and socialise different to adults? It caused abut of a debate between the student and I. What do you think?
Tuesday,
Trigonometry and some SATS prep β€οΈ
Autism awareness day β€οΈ
Happy Easter to all our wonderful families β€οΈ π£

We even started with our Olly bear matching capitals and lower case letters.
We had GCSE English, some SPaG, The Zoo Nightkeeper game to help with spellings and English skills that are easily forgotten (it was nice for me not to have to say capital letter every two seconds hahah!)
Ruby even smashed percentages of amounts (it only took 3 years haha!)
We also had 11+ Verbal reasoning too!
It was a busy one β€οΈ
Area of a circle, factorising, pythagoras, 12x tables, fact sheets, spellings... what a Wednesday.
Rudy's debate of this week is would a shark or a killer whale win in a fight? π π¦
What do we think?
On top of everything that has happened recently, Lisa has now been diagnosed with gallstones and is having attacks where she really struggles with excruciating pain and this means she cannot do anything but rock and wait for it to pass. We are waiting on a surgery date.
This has meant that some lessons have had to be moved/rescheduled. If this has had to happen, we have been in contact and guaranteed an alternative lesson.
We are aware this is frustrating and noone is beating herself up more than Lisa when she is having to reschedule so near GCSE and SATs time.
However, we have always given an alternative when these attacks have happened.
Lisa wants to thank you all for your patience and understanding and is doing her best to ensure you all get your lessons as you should.
Kind regards,
Lisa and team β¨οΈ
Phonics, Reading Eggs, Matilda Spelling Game, SATs practice β€οΈ
Rudy was back last Wednesday β€οΈ
Monday;
Back with the three musketeers! Smashing everything we throw at them! They love a session with Reading Eggss & Hangman! Reeve was teaching his little brother how to play!
We also was back with Harry! Getting ready for SATs. He's come so far and we're super proud of his progress. Fab session, even after a club! Never met a student so busy!
Then we had the lovely Gee! Building confidence and encouragement is our favourite thing to do. You're doing amazing girl! β€οΈ
The three musketeers β€οΈ
