🌱Good morning! And so we arrive at the final two days of this academic year. School closes for Summer on Tuesday 23rd July 2024. Before the fun begins, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank our entire school community for their support this year. We look forward across these two days to celebrating what makes St. Mary's a wonderful little school properly. Let's get started.

Year 3 have worked really hard on an Iron Man stop motion animation this week. They made the backgrounds, props and characters, decided what would happen in each scene, moved the characters, took the photos and then recorded the voice over. We're impressed with their determination and creativity!
🚨With football’s European Championships this Summer, it’s likely that young fans will be inspired to take to the pitch themselves – or perhaps they’re naturally sporty already. High-profile tournaments such as this can be a great opportunity to teach children and young people about what constitutes being ‘a good sport’ – not just in terms of technique, but also attitude.
This guide collates our expert’s tips for encouraging fair play and friendly competition between children. It will help you to ensure that they can relish an enjoyable game of football, rugby or something else entirely — without unhealthy approaches to winning and losing polluting what could be an uplifting experience for all.
