Seven young people from Wardle Scouts and Explorers have been selected to attend the World Scout Jamboree in Korea in August 2023. We are so very proud of them as they competed for one of 36 places against 67 young people throughout Greater Manchester North Scout County.
Their Jamboree Journey will consist of:
- raising up to £4,000 to cover the Jamboree fees.
- attend camps and training events to help them learn the skills needed to live on their own in tents for 14 days.
A percentage of each UK Jamboree Fee goes to fund attendance at the Jamboree by Scouts from 3rd world countries and Wardle Scouts and Explorers are pleased to be able to help others less fortunate than themselves join in the amazing experience of attending a Jamboree.
The young people, their parents and our Scout Group will be organising fundraisers from now until July 2023. We do hope you'll support us by attending and joining in.
