For the next 3 weeks – 2-4pm, our Wednesday Womens Wellbeing Group will be hosting project workshops exploring the theme of “Our lived experience” through the art form of “Innovative Textiles”.

We will be embracing freedom of expression and creativity which supports every voice to speak and therefore to be heard, to Celebrate personal, unique journeys - strengths and talents - survival of the rocky road recovery journey. With a focus on women in recovery from substance misuse and their families etc, workshops are open to the wider recovery community.

The 4 women’s workshops will culminate in creating artwork which will be stitched together to create an unconventional banner which reflects our lived experience.

We will work with women to shine a light on their life stories, so they do not remain silenced through shame.

This is an opportunity to learn new skills. We will have fun and our confidence will naturally grow through forming new connections as well as beautiful handmade creations. We will build resilience by being a part of a creative community, where we are celebrated for our strengths.
