🎉We have some amazing news!🎉

All the donations are in, sponsorship forms returned and every penny counted - we now have a final total for the amount raised for this years Colour Run.

We’ve pushed our record total even higher and received an incredible…*drumroll*….£53,110.72 from the event!

We want to say another huge thank you to all of our colour runners, those who came along on the day to support them, the volunteers that helped make the day happen and the vendors there on the day keeping everyone fed and watered. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!

A huge thank you to long-time supporters Ken and members of the Holme Valley Lions, who have raised a huge £3000 in their summer raffle! Also many thanks to the local businesses who donated some of the fantastic prizes for the raffle, which made this such a successful fundraiser for Forget Me Not.

We have so much fun, while keeping the core values of the charity at the forefront of everything we do.” Alex, senior fundraiser

While we’d welcome previous fundraising experience, it’s not essential - we can help you develop those skills. You don’t have to jump out of a plane to raise lots of money for charity! One of our supporters and valued member of the community, Joan Bonser hosted a coffee morning recently in aid of Forget Me Not and The Kirkwood. Her house was filled with clothing items that had been donated plus lots of coffee and cake and some of our very own Forget Me Not merchandise.

Together, Joan, her family and friends raised a brilliant £1,500 for both charities with £800 coming to Forget Me Not! A huge thank you to Joan for her continued support.

The Little Princess Trust is a charity which provides real hair wigs to children and young people who are suffering hair loss due to illness, medical treatment and health conditions.

Sarah Kent, our clinical educator, and Laura Gray, a staff nurse at Forget Me Not, recently met Caitlin Booth from the charity, along with representatives from the Children's Community Nursing Team, Child Development Unit and Martin House.

They came together to discuss how they can work more collaboratively, so together we can support even more children and young people through their hair loss journey, and give them the best care possible. Thank you to everyone who came along, we can’t wait to work even closer and build even stronger relationships.

We have many people to thank today! First, a huge thank you to Tesco Peel for donating all the food for our Volunteer Celebration event at Russell House, including a range of wonderful treats for our volunteers to enjoy!

A big thank you also goes to Blacks Solicitors, who selected us as their charity of the year for 2023/24 and raised a fantastic £4,850.88! This amount was achieved through various fundraising events they organised, including an impressive £3,566.55 from conquering the Yorkshire Three Peaks in October 2023.

Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to Manor Croft Academy, who organised a bake-off to raise money for Forget Me Not! Staff also undertook a sponsored fast for a day during Ramadan—hopefully, there was some cake left for them! Altogether, they raised an amazing £1,136.66.

There are countless ways that people go above and beyond to support Forget Me Not, and we couldn't do what we do without them!
