Hello to everyone who is replying to our message regarding Steve’s equipment. Please bear with me as there are a number of you, I will reply fully to all of you tomorrow.

Hello to all the fellow bakers and cake makers. As we are closing the business, due to the passing of Steve, we are are tying to re-home a selection of cake tins, cake boxes, cake decorating equipment and some unused icing. If you are interested please message us to go over in more detail what we have.

Thank you all for your cards and kind words over the last few days, it has been very comforting for us to read your lovely messages in this difficult time.

The funeral service will be held on Friday 23rd October at 12:00 at Thames View Crematorium. Due to Coronavirus restrictions the service will be limited to family members only, although there will be capacity for some people to stand outside as long as everyone is compliant with social distancing. There will be a remembrance book outside the service that we would be happy for people could sign if they wish to. For those unable to join us there will be a live stream of the service which we will provide the link to in due course.

Steve will leave his home in Webb Close at approximately 11:30 and head straight to Thames View Crematorium, if anyone would like to pay their respects as he passes.

Medway Funeral Directors have kindly set up a Just Giving Page for any donations, and any proceeds will be split between Cancer Research UK, Macmillian Cancer Support and The Wisdom Hospice. Any donations already given to the previous Go Fund Me page will be added to this.

Hi due to ill health i have decided to cancel my orders until 1st September, when hopefully i will be well enough to go back into the studio to work. Thank you for all be understanding. Steve

Yesterdays wedding cake at kingsdown was for Elliot and Alyce. Layers of carrot cake, chocolate cake, raspberry and lemon and salted caramel. Coated in buttercream decorated with sweet avalanche roses, lilac lisianthus and a million stars gypsophelia. The cake was displayed on our gold hoop stand. Congratulations to the new mr and mrs masters.

Last sundays wedding cake at hempstead house was Nathan and Ashleigh. We scaled the design down to fit in with thr current times. The bottom layer chocolate coated in an aubergine colour effect marble icing and a vanilla sponge coated in ivory. Decorated with handmade sugar orchids. The cake was topped with an acrlic rose gold topper created by janet and mike at laser junkee.

My first wedding cake since 16th March was today at Chilham Village Hall. Probably the nicest and most characterful village hall i have ever been to. The cake was to celebrate the marriage of Sapphire and Kathleen. They chose an ivory cake with a stencilled and quilted design and a cascade of dusky pink, baby pink and off white sugar roses with some pearlised leaves. The cake was topped of with a silver glitter topper supplied by Laser Junkee. The cake was chocolate base then lemon and then 2 fake layers. hope you have an amazing day.

i have decided that in view of the current situation regarding Covid-19 that to ensure the safety of myself, my family and my customers that Icing on the cake will not appear at any wedding show or exhibition until january 2021. I am how ever doing covid compliant consultations in the studio. These are of limited numbers and dates fir next year are filling up fast if you would like a consultation then message me to check availability for your date.

I have 2 boxes of assorted cupcakes Left. They are £10 per box message me if you woukd like a box.

ITV are currently showing guy ritchies 2010/11 sherlock holmes film. whilst they were filming scenes at chatham dockyard we received a call from the production company to create a amateur looking cake that could fit in a tin . The cake in the film would explode as part of the story. I completed the cake and was put on standby in case extra copies were needed. They werent needed as a message came from mr ritchie stating that the cake was perfect and matched the brief and the shot had been done in one take. Well it got cut from the final film and my cake.....on the cutting room floor. Still a thank you from mr madonna, he was still married to madge at the time, is more than praise.

This was fun . Designed the topper with help of janet and her husband at laser junkee. I just had to get princess ruby on to helens cake some how.

I loved do this cake for the food machinery company to celebrate a retirement. Its based on wallace and grommit, wallace being one of the best inventors ever.

Every so often you get asked to make something a little out of the ordinary. The hoobird, tracey, turned 50 yesterday. She asked for a cake with satan on it. she thought she was going to get a picture, one she had sourced from the Web. I decided to take the picture and to sculpt her a 3d satan, well happy birthday Hoobird thank you for being a friend.oh and by the way the cake was chocolate with chocolate fudge so technically devils food cake!

Mince pies are now available at homeleigh garden centre, delishes with vanilla ice cream or clotted cream. Also homelieigh have a special on fresh pineapples.
so heres an idea for you.

Peel and cut into slices place on foil a dot of butter and a sprinkling of brown sugar and a splash of white rum seal the foil up and place on your bbq until soft and caramelised servve with lashings of vanilla icecream thats your pudding sorted.

This weeks special is coconut and lime sponge. A light moist coconut sponge with lime curd and vanilla buttercream. £5.

I made this cake last week and have received this lovely thank you which im sharing. when i get a comment like this it reminds me of why i started icing on the cake, to bring smiles and joy. I am truly humbled.
