A few bits that were out on Sunday for an organised Eid event in West Smethwick park.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING PAYMENTS

Its unfortunate as a business I feel the need to make this announcement.
Since 2019 as a business I’ve always offered 2 methods of payment, A. approximately 20% deposit paid by bank transfer with the balance payable cash on arrival.
Or, B. approximately 20% deposit paid by bank transfer with the balance payable by bank transfer or cheque 7 days before the event date.

Increasingly we are having clients trying to pay us by bank transfer on the day or after the event, despite knowing full well that if they’ve chosen to pay using method A, payment should be made in cash upon our arrival.
This may seem trivial to our customers however, as a customer you need to understand that our staff do not have access to the business’s bank account to check for payments made. The office is not manned 24/7 to check payments have been made on the day and, often any payments made over the weekend will not show in the business account until the next working day.
Its a bit like doing your weekly shopping and telling the cashier you’ll bank transfer the payment later!
This often causes us more unexpected issues when we already run to a tight schedule.
To add to insult to injury, several times this year we’ve had clients not only not have the correct method of payment on the day but deliberately keep our staff waiting around for payment at the end of the event.
My staff and myself work very hard and more often than not unsociable hours to cater for your event. To keep us waiting around for payment once we’ve finished is just plain rude!

Due to this situation happening more and more frequently, my staff are now instructed to take balance payments upon arrival at the event. If payment is not made in a timely and correct manner, my staff are instructed to remove my equipment from the site.

It’s regrettable that I have to take this stance because of a small minority but I’m sure most of my customers will understand.
