Special letters with special flowers for a loving tribute.
'Thank you for the beautiful flowers you prepared for our sister's funeral. They were a lovely tribute - (she) would have loved them'
Colourful tied sprays with a garden feel.
Adorable flower girls, from S&J's fab day in March, carrying an assortment of loose spring flowers.

What a wonderful day in March for Sophie and Joby's big day . Loving the cowgirl ( and boy!) vibe. A nod to their time in the US of A.

Today I am showing a selection of the wonderful bridal party flowers that you can choose besides a trad single flower buttonhole.
Pocket squares, sprigs, boutonnières or wristlets .. which would you choose?
This was the beautiful setting for last week's wedding , on the edge of Royston, North Herts. Weather played ball too giving a super day. Flowers adorning the bridge, marquee entrance and walkway added a bit of romance to the scene.
Shout out to Clare and Ellen for running round with ribbon and scissors, and generally being wonderful 😁

Pleased with these delicate yet impactful table centerpieces for L&J. Here, , my tall, slim vases let you see across the table and offer a cost effective bit of drama. I used a delicate selection of summery flowers for a country feel. Lovely also to see the personalised favours for each guest of L&J - a touch of sweetness too. Sharing the love ❤
We are all stars now! Lovely bit of advertising.
I was in London this week . First time for a while going into the big smoke! I was pleasantly surprised when I experienced random acts of kindness not once but three times during my day. First was when I was wrestling with the ticket machines for the tube/oyster card and a kind soul helped me out! The next was when a person offered directions to a couple looking at a map in Granary Square (the newish Regents canal overhaul above Kings Cross) and lastly a man gave a lady some unwrapped chocolate for her children on the train. Shows that the city is full of kind folks rather than the scary things you here about on the news!
The lilac is in full flower now. I love it but I know that some think it is unlucky to bring indoors.. old wives tale. What do you think?
Spring flower wristlets for mums of the bride and groom. Easy to wear. Fun to keep.
Happy Easter 🐣. Enjoying eggs of all sorts today (particularly Divine dark choc) ! 😁 Resting after wedding prep and setup yesterday at the lovely near Newmarket.( See my hoop decor in stories and wedding decor highlights) Big congrats to Sophie and Joby. Xx
Easter is coming!

It is always a joy when it is time to incorporate spring nests and eggs in designs, and even eat a few of the chocolate mini ones!

These wonderful minidaffs (or narcissus !) are up and out in the garden and in the supermarkets. All daffodils have a clear sap that comes out of the stem end when recut and can shorten the vase life of other flowers, so best to leave on their own in water for a few hours first before arranging. Always recut the stem end when you get them home!
Although it doesn't feel like it with the current deluge of rain, spring is right round the corner! Enjoyed making this design using gathered twigs from the garden and a mixed bunch of supermarket spring flowers. Letting them flop about!
Take one bubble bowl, a bunch of tulips and a few flexi twigs .. and swirl!

A little bit of floral art or floral whimsy (!) with tulips and p***y willow.
A bowl full of spring.
I quite liked the way the hyacinth moved about as they developed in this piece but if you want to keep them straight you can discreetly tie the stems to a little cane or skewer as you create it. Spring flowers have a lot of energy and often move to the light and even carry on growing once they are cut. This can make them exciting to work with but no good if you want a perfect placing. That's also why tulips can be a handful as they all move to the light. I say embrace it!
Loving the spring daffs right now.
Spring spiral using a pin holder.
Happy half term!
Spring is just around the corner!
These are the first daffs from the garden along with garden foliage and some lovely spring iris and ranunculus. All foam free too.
Happy Valentine's Day X
These are a few of the bespoke orders for the lucky Verdila customers this year...these are in the more trad red with a Verdila twist. No new orders now. Giving some ❤ today. X
This design uses glorious spring flowers in a sustainable way. The base is completely compostable.
'Pretty in pink' vase arrangement in my one of my new glass vases! Including the delicious lime green viburnum.
'They are stunning. Thank you'. Lovely reaction to these gift bouquets with requested pink germini. In fact there are two types in there.. the frilly ones and the pink daisy flowers are both germini which are the stars of the show. The roses are more hidden as a surprise for later when they open out fully.
Classic or boho whites. A favourite all year round!
So after a few years break (!!) I have a new blog on my verdila website https://www.verdila.co.uk/verdilablog
