If your partner dies before you reach state pension age, you may be due bereavement support payments. While this help was previously only available if you were married or in a civil partnership, a recent law change means co-habiting parents are newly eligible and can get backdated payments worth £10,000s. But you only have until 8 February 2024 to claim this backdated support.

Hi Simone,

As discussed today, I just wanted to provide some feedback after yesterday’s funeral for John ******.

John’s brother called in this morning and could not speak highly enough of the whole event, which the family said was perfect in every way and made them all very happy.

He specifically mentioned how much people had loved the hearse, and also how much he had enjoyed doing the blast down the A57 which he felt was a great tribute to John’s love for going just that little bit faster than you should!

Please can you let Andy know just how much his attendance, empathy and professionalism meant to this family?

From my own perspective, as this was my first motorcycle funeral, I have found the process very straightforward with good support at the end of the phone when needed and a nice follow-up call which reflects the level of pride you obviously all take in making this experience the best it can be for everyone.

Thank you all from us, and we’ll be giving you a shout next time we need a bike!
