Rya's Childminding
Ofsted registered childminder, based in Rushden.
This week we have been on a number hunt, colouring the numbers we could see out and about. The children found numbers on cars, doors and lampposts and were very happy when they managed to colour all of the numbers on their sheet!
We have also been on walks, finding lots of snails, swans and ducklings 🐥
The children have also had the first aid kit out and have been bandaging up eachother and myself!
This week we were lucky enough to have a tractor come to visit us, the children absolutely loved this and asked every day for the rest of the week if they were coming back 😅
We have also been to messy play, explored fields, learnt the names of flowers, played follow the leader, practiced counting how many butterflies we could spot, observed flowers and painted them and danced to our favourite songs 🥰
We have been lucky enough to have been gifted this lovely play house, after our trip to the farm last month and seeing how much the children enjoyed their sand pit I decided to turn our play house in to a sandpit! The children spent last week exploring the sand, making sandcastles, finding treasure and practicing their turn taking on the sit on digger.
Thankyou to our lovely friends for gifting us the play house and the help I’ve had from my parents for repainting! The children have loved it so far and it’s going to be well loved, that’s for sure! 🥰

Our past few weeks ❤️
On Thursday we went on an adventure! instead of taking the car we decided to take the bus, the children were so excited and waited patiently for our bus to arrive! They sat beautifully on the bus and we spoke about what we saw and heard and they told me that the bus felt ‘bumpy’. They sung the wheels on the bus and when it was time to get off, we pressed the magic red button to make the bus stop! We had a lovely play at 360 before getting the bus back 😊 the children looked at the numbers on the bus making sure we got the right one and were interested in the words and letters that they could see around them. When it was home time they were so excited to tell their parents all about their day 🥰
Our activities over the past few weeks ❤️❤️

I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to all of my lovely parents and their children and to all of you who have liked and shared my pictures and posts. Thanks to you guys I’ve managed to spend the whole 6 weeks holidays with my own children for the first time. This month marks a year since I left my previous workplace so that I could start my own little venture and without you guys I wouldn’t have been able to do that. So thank you from the bottom of my heart, all of you have made it possible for my boys to have their mummy the whole summer whilst making memories with them and your lovely little ones 🥰🌈
