Coming up next week is Lammas the holiday that celebrated the mid point between the summer solstice and the autumn equinox.

It is also known as loaf mass day. And many people mark the day by making a fresh loaf of bread, often in unique designs. 🍞

It celebrates the harvesting of grain. Which is a staple through many communities. And it was considered shameful if you had to harvest grain before Lammas. 🌾🌾

Welcome to unKanny art who have just taken the big leap to starting their own business officially and joining the shop.

AJ Steeldesigns brought in a new skull lamp yesterday (sorry a day late posting about it!)😊

Beautiful Bottles by Clare have restocked with some new designs and Nate's 3D Prints has refilled his what was an all but empty shelf.

So many new things 🙈😁

Our fourth and final seller showcase for the month is Beautiful Bottles by Clare. She makes decoupaged items for all occasions.

She began during the pandemic but had always been a crafty person making cards and other things as it helped to keep her busy whilst dealing with some health issues. She started when she wanted to try something new and took on loads of items someone was getting rid of.

She loves making affordable gifts and loves the fact that it gives the bottles a second life. She first started with just bottles but as she said decoupage is a slippery slope and she now makes various gifts from flasks to demijohns and boxes.

Clare enjoys selling at 5th times a charm as she likes to support us as a small business and loves when people find her craft through us. She most enjoys sharing her crafts with others and she wants to stay making for a very long time.

As our charmed meet tommrow is all about energy cleansing and clearing, So are our facts this week.

Every person you see you exchange energy with. No matter how long you see them for. 🫂

Clearing your energy is important as it can help to improve your mood and keep you focused.

Energy can be cleared in many ways. Including visualisation, meditation, music 🎵🎶 or journalling but often a combination of ways works well.

New in from Nan's Woollie Wonders/Hooked by Dannii. 16 inches tall Mega Chunky Soft Chenille Baphomet

Our Third seller showcase of the month is Nan's Woollie Wonders/Hooked by Dannii she makes amigurumi decorations and other crocheted items.

She began creating about 8 years ago when she needed something to take her mind off of her aches and pains. Dannii likes to focus on reading the patterns as a way to help her cope with her chronic conditions.

She loves to try new and exciting patterns and loves to adapt them to suit her likes and dislikes. She has been given the nickname of the cack handed crocheter as she doesn't hold the hook with her hands 👐

She enjoys selling at 5th times a charm because she gets to embrace her weird side and that the owner is alright sometimes 😂. Dannii is a very valued member of our team here at 5th times a charm and will never be short on ideas due to the amount of patterns we send her 😁

Danni's wonderful creations will be in the window for a couple more weeks. Swing by and take a look and if you pop in she may be there to tell you about it all herself.

Wednesday Wisdom.

After today's excellent workshop making light up bottles. The facts this week are about the symbolism behind the designs we used today.

Seeing a hare gazing at the moon was believed to bring good fortune and abundance, while the hare was also the sacred symbol of the goddess Eostre. 🌕

One particular image of foxes in British folklore is that of the "moonlit fox." According to legend, on nights when the moon is full, foxes can be seen dancing and frolicking in the moonlight.🦊

These images have captured the imaginations of generations of storytellers and poets, who have used them to convey the magic and mystery of the natural world.

The next seller in the window is Little Gift Bootique she makes cards, gift frames and notebooks all of which that can be personalised to order.

Sarah began the business in 2020 and actually started with jewellery making. Unfortunately due to gaining carpel tunnel she found she could no longer make jewellery.

She then began to make cards when she couldn't find an adoption card and decided to make one for herself.

Sarah makes a variety of different themed cards and notebooks with the teacher gifts being on display in our window. But she is also featured on our card rack at the front of the shop.

5th times a charm is very friendly and welcoming and she enjoys being a seller as there is great variety within the shop. No one sells quite the same as anyone else.

Little Gift Bootique will be in the second shelf of the window and on the card rack until the end of the month. Come along and pick up that perfect gift, and ask us if you'd like anything from the window.

Welcome to the first week of July. This weeks wisdom is about the month itself.

July was originally named after Roman emperor Julius Ceasar who helped to change the calendar from 10 months to 12. 🗓️

There are many celebrations for many cultures in July. Including Canada day, Independence day, Islamic new year and Bastille day.

The full moon for the month will be on the 21st. It is called the buck moon as it’s the time of year when male deers antlers are in full swing of growing to shed and become even more majestic at this time next year. 🌕

And on July 5 it’s the aphelion which is when we will be the furthest away from the sun the whole year🌅- specifically 94,506,364 miles away.

Seller showcase
The first of our sellers in the sellers showcase is PP C Crafts
In the first shelf in the shop window you will find the husband and wife glass working duo that is PP C Crafts
They are a small business that prides themselves on creating unique and interesting pieces of glass artwork.

Their business started in 2019 when they realised that there was a major interest in the items they were making as a hobby and they had run out of people to gift their creations too.

They like the fact that they can help people in creating important memories, and using the medium of glass to help bring people together. They mostly enjoy the personal connections they can make through selling their pieces, each one as unique as the customer and the recipient.

Being at 5th times a charm has helped them to explore new designs and create new pieces they wouldn’t have thought of before. They admitted to me they weren’t sure if it was their type of shop to begin with however now they have settled in they love coming back each month. Often with new designs especially for us, like the triple moon design you can see in the picture.

PC crafts will be in the first shelf in the window for the next few weeks. Come by and take a look at their amazing workmanship and talent, And don’t hesitate to ask if you’d like anything from the window.

This week our facts are linked to green witch craft and the use of herbs and oils.

One of our sellers uses lots of plants and Herbs in crafting her oils and is so excited to share that with us all on Saturday at the workshop.

Here’s her facts about Green witch Craft and how she uses herbs and plants in her work.

Our newest feature for the page. Each week there will be some short facts about a topic often linked to what’s going on at shop, or conversations we’ve been having with customers.

So let me look into my crystal ball and tell you the facts for this week….🔮

This weeks facts are on divination. As this is our theme for the charmed meets tomorrow.

Divination is an attempt to gain information through supernatural means.

There are many different forms of divination. Including Cartomancy (using cards in lots of different forms) 🃏 Palmistry (using the palms) ✋and even Ailuromancy (using the behaviours of cats).🐈‍⬛

Divination can be a useful tool to find out extra information about events and times in your life.

Our charmed meet this week is on divination and using different tools for divination. We will let you know if we find the lottery numbers 😁
