We have introduced some brilliant new classes to sit along side your favourite ones.

There are classes in:

All our classes will be taking place from our new home 1 Mill Street, Oakham.

They are taught by tutors who are extremely knowledgeable and love their craft. Our class size is small and there is plenty of tea, cake and laughter 😊

All classes can be booked via our website. I will be adding even more classes to the timetable as we settle in to our new home.

On Sunday 5th December 10.00-13.00 we are teaching a crochet snowflake and stars class, perfect for those that know how to crochet and are ready for their next project.

During this workshop we will show you how to follow a more advanced crochet pattern while teaching you how to incorporate beads into your crochet and in doing so you will crochet some beautiful beaded snowflakes and stars. These lovely decorations are perfect for making a Christmas present look extra special, to hang on your tree as decorations or to string together to form pretty and unique garlands or to create a wreath like ours.

Our classes are informative, fun and relaxed, there is always plenty of laughter, tea and cake.

This class is held in our beautiful studio in Barleythorpe where car parking is free and there is disabled access and facilities should you need them. Tutor is the wonderful Emma from

We are very excited to be launching our first Compete Craft Kit -A Beautiful Christmas Stocking, this Monday at 8.00am.

This fabulous stocking is fully lined and has a layer of wadding to provide stability and is a generous size-perfect for all those gifts 😉

It is a stocking that will become a family favourite that will be brought out year after year. Make for yourself, family or friends.

It is beginner friendly, can be sewn on a regular sewing machine and comes with coloured instructions and a top tip sheet to guide you through the process. As with our Complete Dressmaking Kits it comes with absolutely everything you need -paper pattern, fabric, Pom poms, ribbon etc to make your version 😊

✨Let’s Knit Socks!✨

Have you always wanted to learn how to knit socks?

Do double pointed needles scare you?

Have you mastered scarves and wanted to knit something with more detail?

We are running a fabulous one day class where you will learn all the techniques to make your own mini sock.

For me socks are a great knitting project, they have various techniques so are interesting to knit, they are very portable, they are useful and make wonderful gifts 😊

This great class is held in our beautiful studio in Barleythorpe Oakham.

Would you like to learn lots of useful hints and tips to take your knitting to the next level?

On Sunday 19th September we are running a one day class on Professional Finishing Techniques For Knitting at our beautiful studio in Barleythorpe, Oakham.

You will learn:
* different cast on and off methods
* the different ways to increase and decrease stitches
*button holes
*sewing your garments together
*picking up stitches
*blocking your work
*sewing in your ends.

This fabulous class is informative and fun, class sizes are small and there is plenty of tea and cake. Emma is a wonderful tutor and you will go home itching to start and finish your next knitting project.

Join us for our Beginners and Improvers Sewing Masterclass Sunday 18th July where you will learn to:
🪡sew an invisible zip
🪡French Seams
🪡sew 2 different darts
🪡under stitch and top stitch
🪡how to sew facings
🪡concave and convex curves
🪡piping and bias binding
🪡Hems and seams
As well as lots of other tips and tricks to take your sewing to the next level!

Our class is held in our beautiful studio Oakham, Rutland and there is a maximum of 5 on this course. Everything bar your lunch is included in this class, we do provide lots of tea and cakes.
Use our sewing machines or bring your own. You must be able to thread your sewing machine and sew in a straight line before this class.
Free car parking, ground floor and fully accessible.
As we all our classes it is taught in a fun and friendly manner , we want you to go home buzzing from all that you have learnt and ready to take on your next sewing project with confidence 😊 .
Personally I love teaching this class as I see your confidence grow throughout the day.
