Silver Arch Property Solutions provides a wide range of essential property services to private property owners, landlords, estate & letting agents, local and national holiday let providers, management companies and housing providers.

Due to demand, we are expanding our services within the holiday let industry. To support with this expansion, we are looking for housekeepers to join our team, initially on a zero-hour contract with the option to progress to a set hours contract. Hours are flexible during the day to work around personal circumstances as best as we can.

The role covers the whole of the Island and involves various responsibilities which are detailed below. You will be provided with all equipment to perform the role, except for transport. All applicants must be able to drive and have their own vehicle. In addition to the hourly rate, you will be paid 45p per mile for all business travel.

Salary - £12.50 / hour, increased payments for unsociable hours
Location – Isle of Wight

What the role involves:

The role of Holiday Let Housekeeper involves:

· Property clean and linen change of each property on set changeover days.

· Using an app to complete a report during each changeover.

· Push button power check of fire and CO alarms.

· Point of contact for guests during their stay. Any staff on call will receive additional payment for any unsociable hours contact received.

Skills required:

No experience is necessary. Successful applicants will be provided with full training. Successful applicants should have the following skills:

- Strong telephone and email communication skills.

- Good time management.

- High level of attention to detail.

- Strong IT skills and comfortable using an app on a mobile

- Comfortable working independently.

Interview Process:

If your application is successful, you will be interviewed by both company Directors at a location in or near Ryde or on Teams.

Until 20 September 2023, many landlords have been preparing their rental properties to meet a proposed new minimum energy performance certificate (EPC) rating of C and above from the end of 2025.

However, those plans have now been scrapped by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak as part of an easing back of eco and green policies along with a number of other measures such as delaying a ban on petrol and diesel cars and a delay to the ban on new fossil fuel boilers – e.g. gas.

While many people will be unhappy with the government rowing back many green schemes to achieve net zero by 2050, many landlords will no doubt be breathing a large sigh of relief. Read more in our latest blog:
