Printer all fixed and ready to go. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Hello all…..
Apologises but our counter printer is still down. I am still a waiting on an engineer to come and fix it.
So that means we are unable to print any labels to send parcels, signed for items or special delivery items. We are unable to produce any certificates of posting and receipts.
Providing you don’t want any receipts or proofs we can sell stamps and do cash withdrawals and deposits.
Apologies for those inconvenience. Hopefully we’ll be back up and running shortly.
Well that’s it for another year!!!
Thank you to all our customers, new and….. not so new, for all your support and business.
On behalf of our paper delivery team, Daniel, Lyra, Ethan, James and Ben, thank you for all the their cards, tips and gifts. We may be biased but we think they are amazing for delivery the newspapers of Binstead in all the bad weather we’ve had this year.
Thank you to our wonderful team, Tracey, Abi and Lewis. You’re are simply amazing.
And you deserve every penny from the tip jar that we emptied today.
We are having a well earned rest to spend with our children, Dan and Olivia. Sorry Mummy & Daddy work hard but this is what pays for your dancing and football activities 😂😂
Thank you once again Binstead. We’ll see you at 7am on Wednesday 27th December.
Merry Christmas

Happy Anniversary!!!! 7 years ago today we took over our lovely little shop. Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun!! 🤩
And we wouldn’t have gotten where we are today without the support of our wonderful local community, all of our lovely customers and past and present members of amazing team.
Here’s to the next 7 years…🥂
POST OFFICE!!!! LETS GET READY FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!
If you are sending overseas please make sure you complete a customs form (picture attached) we have plenty and it would help us and you so much if you did one before you came. If you are sending economy or standard airmail you will need the one WITH a barcode. Sending tracked or signed for internationally then use the customs form with NO Barcode.
Our posting dates are displayed in the post office and we have leaflets available for you to take away.
We will update any changes at the earliest opportunity and inform you every Sunday what last dates are coming up for that week.
Please try and post as early as you can though, regardless of any recommended last posting dates.
If you are doing a return we recommend you ‘screen shot them’ to your phone. As many of you know we don’t have the best signal here and it saves you time.
If you have any queries please ask us! We’re here to help.
🥰
We still have some spaces available for our charity bingo night.
Lots of bottle of booze up for grabs to see you over Christmas (or til the following Sunday 😳)
Message me to reserve your table
As many of you know we went to visit family that live abroad during half term.
It was whilst we were at the airport that we heard about the flooding that had affected Binstead including our shop.
Our amazing staff and some of wonderful friends insisted they had everything under control and told us to continue on our way.
Tracey, Abi and Lewis, you have been brilliant, considering one of you has been affected with the flooding at your own home. We love you all 🥰
Paul and Nikki Morton….you’ve gone above and beyond for us. We feel like Paul is a member of the team now 😂 There are no words to say how we feel. We can not thank you enough.
Stuart and Jackie Bates….for picking us up from the fast cat when we travelled home in the storm last week and loaning us a vehicle whilst ours is off the road.
Elaine Begg for helping sourcing sand bags.
All the messages we’ve had from friends with updates and asking if they can do anything to help.
🥰🥰🥰 Thank you for just being there.
The messages of support we’ve had from the public. Especially when so many of us have been affected. And compared to what some people have gone through we know we were one of the lucky ones. We hope everyone is okay and send our love and thoughts to all.
As sad as it is, it’s times like this when a community really does come together.
And of course not forgetting our two not so little munchkins…..
For helping on their last day of their precious school holidays and grabbing a mop. You make us proud (most of the time 😬) but I couldn’t be anymore prouder than stepping up like that. 😘😘
Good News……Binstead Post Office will be operating once more from tomorrow morning!!!
Thank you for bearing with us whilst we’ve been waiting for the equipment to be fixed.
Evening All.
Unfortunately our Post Office counter and lottery will still be down tomorrow.
We will be open tomorrow 7am-7:30pm and our card machine is working again.
We’ve been very lucky compared to some people, including one of our own, so our hearts and thoughts go out to them.
Can’t express enough love for those that helped us today. 🥰
And all the lovely messages we’ve received too.
Sad news, we have been affected by the flooding. Luckily minimum damage to stock and the shop, just a massive clean up operation again.
Our wonderful team have spent the morning cleaning up and we will have the shop open at 12noon. We will be closing early today but we’ll confirm the time later this afternoon.
Unfortunately our Post Office counter will be closed due to our equipment being water damaged. This will also include our lottery machine.
We are also having to operate on a cash only basis at the moment due to our card machine also being down.
Thank you to those that have been helping this morning. Our wonderful Tracey and our amazing friend Paul.
Vote for Binstead Primary School 🥰
We have cakes and teas and coffees for sale on today Binstead Yard Sale. All monies raised will be going to Vectis Youth FC U15s
Hello Everyone!
I’m holding a Boozy Bingo night on Saturday 2nd December, raising funds for my son’s football team.
A good night with some great prizes to be won.
Message me to book your table.
Some of you may have already noticed that the clothing charity bin has been removed from outside the shop.
We have felt, for some time, that the position of the container was not the best and unfortunately there was nowhere else suitable for us to hold it.
Due to this charity bin being in place long before we took over the shop we had no contact details for the company that had originally made the agreement for the container to be held on our site.
After over a year of making enquires our very own wonderful Ian Dore has managed to get hold of the relevant party, explained the situation and the container has been uplifted.
We are aware that many people use this charity bin and it does serve a purpose to the local community but we feel that safety is more important.
We believe an alternative location is trying to be sourced and hopefully one will be sorted soon.
Looking to see if any friends or local business owners would like to be a personal sponsor for our son, Daniel, this season.
Details are in the post I’ve shared but you’re business/name will be shared on our social media sites and also on our own business page.
Thought we’d put it out there before we just do it ourselves 🤪
We have amended our opening times!
As from today we will be open 7 days a week from 7am-9pm!
We’re still not sure what all the hype is but right now we are scoring some serious brownie points with our kids and are ‘so cool’ and ‘sick’ for finally getting Prime in stock.
£2.50 a bottle
Vectis Youth FC U15s (Sunday IOW League) are looking for a sponsor!
Company name will be printed on the front of the shirt.
Message for more details or if anyone can help fingers crossed 🤞
We’ve had a driving license handed in belonging to Chloe Bull.
Although there’s a mainland address I’m sure she’s got family here as looks familiar.
We are having a little break for a couple of weeks from Monday 10th July to spend some quality family time with our little people!!
Whilst we have recently welcomed Lewis to our little team we feel that there is still so much to show and teach him on the Post Office counter and we don’t want to overwhelm the poor chap!
And so for that reason we will have some amended hours whilst we’re away.
The days and times are listed below.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but I’m sure you all understand this is in the best interest of our staff.
Thank you
Trevor & Cheryl
