First day of Seawork today! Come down and see us on berths VA29, VA30, VA31. We have a wide range of our equipment on display. Our latest electric tracked plant and electric outboard, some of our modular pontoons with deck mounted marine knuckle boom crane, 6m aluminium workboat and our 10m multi role catamaran.

We also have a pontoon ‘roof terrace’, which has a great view of the show! Our team are there to answer any questions and show our equipment.

Rebel Defender, our tracked carrier and one of our modular pontoons have been assisting with the dismantling of scaffold this week. Working on a structure in Portsmouth with very limited access.

Our pontoon and boat gave access to the underside of the structure.
Our tracked carrier was being used to carry the scaffolding through the underpass to the hiab lorry parked on the other side.

Just 1 week to go until Seawork! This year Rebel Marine will be exhibiting some of the newest green technology to Seawork. Along with two of the company’s work vessels, both crammed with the latest Simrad electronic marine equipment, there will also be one of their go-anywhere Modular Crane Pontoons with remote controlled tracked carrier and tracked crane. With another green investment, one of their electric outboard powered safety boats.

The one-of-a-kind double stacked Modular Pontoon comes with electric operating spud legs and a marine knuckle boom crane mounted to the deck. Ample deck space and stability make it an ideal working platform for many applications.

Onboard will be the Hoeflon TC1 tracked carrier. Only 80cm wide by 145cm and weighing less than 500kg it can carry up to 1200kg. It’s cousin the Hoeflon C1E tracked compact crane is 712mm wide extending to 1100mm when lifting. It has a lifting capacity of 720kg and reach a height of 5.6 metres. It also boasts a winch along with fly jib and head accessories. Both these state of the art plant machines are fully electric so there are zero emissions meaning CO₂ neutrality and minimal noise. They can be used in environmentally sensitive areas where the risk of any fuel contamination is prohibited. Both can operate all day on a full charge.

Combined this means a huge range of applications. With a draft of only 175mm the Modular Pontoon can provide shallow water lifting operations, marine works, general civil works and more, getting to places where others can’t reach.

It’s ultra-shallow draft allows access to places larger multi-cats cannot get to. The Modular Pontoon can be mobilised by water or dismantled for road transport to site. As spud legs and gantry are lightweight they can be easily dropped for access under low bridges and obstructions. The pontoon has a custom sub-frame within the structure to stiffen the floats to keep the crane stable.

Rebel Marine operate a fleet of 15 vessels from 4m workboats to 10m Multipurpose Catamarans as well as a shallow water Crane Barge and an extensive stock of modular work pontoons. Their 10m catamaran and 6m V hull aluminium workboat have the latest Simrad electronic equipment onboard and both will be available to see at Seaworks.

Access to the river was from the road bridge so a lane closure was put in place to allow our crane trailer to lift the sections of pontoon into the water. We then fully spanned the underside of the structure with pontoons and edge protection.

A set of pontoon steps were made for safe access down onto the pontoon. Repairs and inspections were carried out from the pontoon on the brickwork. Due to the need for a lane closure the works were undertaken on a night shift. We took our mobile light tower to site, providing lighting for the team.

Our Tracked Compact Crane is available to hire for those hard to reach places, 100% electric for emission free indoor and outdoor operation.

We are able to track this crane onto our modular pontoons to offer more compact lifting arrangements afloat. Due to it being electric it alleviates the need to refuel afloat and risk of spillages.

Manoeuvring in tight spaces no other machine can get to. Ideal for indoor operations, crane also fits in a lift with ease. This is handy at construction sites and in
industrial environments.

Little powerhouse. At 1,030kg, the C1e can definitely be called that getting the most out of a 1-tonne mini-crane.
With extending non-marking rubber tracks and its small dimensions, the C1e is easy to transport. Can be transported with a standard commercial van.

All this week one of our teams were on site in Axminster at last weeks install. Moving the pontoon between spans and modifying as the scaffold installation progressed.
This provided a safe working platform for the scaffold to be hung from the structure.

Another busy couple of weeks at Ryde Pier supporting works in various sections of the structure. Our workboats and pontoons providing a safe access under the structure.
