A lovely late summer evening in the Verulamium Park for the workout walk lead by Hilary. Pace work and a fast hill climb to the Abbey.
It’s time to start the week with a lovely Explorer WALX at Shenley Park! And there’s always a chance for a coffee and chat post exercise. This time at Cafe in the Orchard. 😊
Saturday on the Rothamsted Estate for some great walking with the Strollers. Taking in the Manor House, open countryside around the Rothamsted research centre and the park. 😊

A lovely morning on the Childwickbury estate enjoying open views and great company.
On Monday’s Motivator Pam led her intrepid explorers for a 3 mile walk at Ellenbrooks looking for shade on a very hot morning 😄
Later with a light breeze and a shaded area of the park, the TBW group used exercise bands for a workout session finishing with a couple of balance sequences before returning to the lodge, practising pole technique. Well done everyone for beating the heat and to Jayne and Lianne who joined us for their first Nordic walk. 👏

In this workshop you will explore the full Nordic Walking technique including Gear 3 and Double Poling, with drills to help you gain a more comprehensive understanding of poles to maximise them for everything from fitness walking to running.

This morning’s sunny nine mile Explorer walx starting from Childwickbury along to Redbournbury stopping at the Mill for ice cream and bread. Then continuing along the River Ver onto the Gorhambury estate before returning to Batchwood.

Friday saw the return of the Photography WALX this time at Heartwood Forest exploring a different theme each month. This month ‘Hands in Frame’
Enjoying the countryside with our weekend walks.
Saturday we celebrated a birthday at Wheathampstead and Sunday we discovered a door which took us on a new detour at Ayot St Peter. We love a mystery mile 😄
Fresh Air Friday WALX at Rothamsted. The route afforded us some welcome shade from the heat. A lovely sunny walk.
Rain did stop play! Doing some faster hill climbs and strength exercises before the soaking 😰 Well done everyone.
