The beautiful shade Olivia Frenchic Paint was the perfect period colour for this vintage table restyle. The gold edge subtly but elegantly highlights the octagonal shaped table top. I really think these muted tones compliment each other perfectly 💚💛

This occasional table SOLD at the weekend to a local young couple decorating their first home together (Thank you so much for shopping small! ❤️) which gives me the perfect excuse to paint another piece from my furniture stash in Olivia 🫒

This vintage table was dark and dated (before photo in comments) and needed fully stripping before putting on her new dress.

Beautiful Oak Nest of tables 🩶

You never know what you're going to find under the old varnish with vintage pieces so I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered the stunning oak grain on these.

Nest of tables are a great versatile option for small spaces and can be stacked together when not needed or used individually in different spaces.

To showcase the beautiful grain I sealed the tops with clear varnish and used the perfect neutral, Cool Beans by Frenchic Paint to complete the look.

Really enjoyed stripping these back to reveal their natural naked beauty. Hope you like them too.

Sharing my first piece painted in the beautiful Olivia🫒by Frenchic Paint (Before picture in comments). I've been wanting to try this colour for a while now and it didn't disappoint. What a gorgeous shade of green! 🫒

RUSTIC FARMHOUSE VIBES 🌿🤍🌿🤍

This cute little table has been given a fresh makeover with the beautifully soft Wedding Cake by Frenchic Paint 🤍 The top features a faux wood look achieved by painting a base of Crème de la Crème followed by Browning Wax. Green leafy paper lines the drawers adding a pop of colour and the rustic cup handles finish the farmhouse look.

The two drawers offer plenty of useful storage and the slim legs make this piece ideal as a console, dressing table or even a stylish desk.

This beauty has already found its new home. Thank you so much for shopping local and supporting my work. It means a lot!

A little preview of my latest piece. I opted for a simple restyle in white and used the popular Frenchic Paint browning wax hack for the top. It worked a treat!

This botanically inspired beauty features one of Frenchic's new shades 'Steaming Green' - a wonderful deep green with Heritage feel.

The elegant paper, lining drawers and inside of doors, and the addition of new hardware finish this piece beautifully.

Truth be told, preparations get underway at the end of November and decs start to appear throughout the house as I enjoy taking my time creating little festive corners.

That's the beauty of December. The house looks really festive all month long and in the evenings, I love cozying up to pretty fairy lights and cinnamon scented candles 🕯️

MY LATEST MAKEOVER ✨

This beautiful solid pine shelving unit was battered and covered in grime when I found it but had oodles of potential and just needed some TLC 🤍

I immediately saw the new design in my head so I got to work on it.
After a week of scrubbing every inch, filling, sanding and then filling and sanding some more, it was finally ready for its new look!

I decided to leave the wood on the shelves and drawer k***s exposed for a natural look so used clear wax to seal these and painted the rest with Salt of the Earth by Frenchic Paint for the perfect rustic vibe 🖌️

KALAMAR BAY 🌊 KALKAN 🌺 TURKEY 🍉

Some of my favourite pics from our recent holiday🧳✈️

My first visit to Turkey and what can I say... just beautiful!! 🌺 Stunning views, beautiful weather 🌞 delicious food and such warm and friendly people ❤️

We stayed in Kalkan, an elegant harbour town which clings to a steep cliff and overlooks the beautiful Kalamar bay ❤️

From the gorgeous bougainvillea filled streets 🌺 and traditional olive trees 🫒 to the bluest Aegean waters 🌊 surrounded by impressive mountains with the steepest roads I've ever seen! Kalkan has it all ❤️

Will definitely miss starting the day with the sweetest and tastiest of figs and our daily treat of mouth watering ice cold watermelon 🍉 Oh, to be back there right now! 🌺🫒🍉

This four piece dining set commission was a mammoth task and took considerable time to complete. I had forgotten how innocent looking chairs are. They always take much longer than you think!

The chairs had previously been painted in a cream colour and needed a lot of professional work to bring them back to their best ✨

Here's the process all five pieces went through before any paint was applied:

* A good scrub 🧼 with sugar soap to remove build up of dirt, grease and grime x 3 (they were dirty!)

* A thorough rinse to clean any residue left 🫧

* A serious amount of elbow grease to remove previous finishes with a heavy duty scraper 💪

* A scuff sand to prepare the surface for its new coat 🖌️ paying special attention to corners and hard to reach areas 👀

The colour for the frame and legs is Mermaid for a Day 🧜‍♂️ by Frenchic Paint, a stunning blue green with magical aqua vibes 🩵 from the self priming, self sealing, egg shell finish Trim paint range. The table top and seats are sanded back and sealed for a natural look 🤍

A simple but effective transformation and a great way to add a splash of colour to your interior. Let me know what you think of this makeover 🙂
