Strength in Passing 2023

A series of four workshops providing strength and support through greater understanding of the nature of life, death and illness. We seek to answer the many fundamental questions which concern us all, but particularly those who have experienced the loss of a loved one or who are involved personally or professionally with the process of transition (death).

Workshop 1 – The nature of our being. Saturday 17th June,2023
Workshop 2 – Life plan and karma. Saturday 22nd July 2023
Workshop 3 – Healing patterns of loss. Saturday 19th August 2023
Workshop 4 – Questions of life and death. Saturday, 23rd September 2023

FOUNDATION IN LIGHT - 2023/4

This unique course which has been running for 25 years provides an introduction to the Human Energy Field and Chakra System, Meditation, Crystal Healing, Soul Recall, Colour and Sound, Lifeplan and Karma, Metaphysics of Disease and Holistic Reflexology. The 12 month course includes 12 workshops, 12 evening presentations ( STEPs), a personal mentor and access to up to 3 meditation sessions each week. New Course begins 1st April 2023

MEDITATION THROUGH RELAXATION

Guided meditations suitable for complete beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Our groups are non-denominational and our approach is based on relaxation and visualisation.

Your first visit to the Hope Centre is free. Thereafter the cost is ( from March 2023) £ 4 in the evening and £3 at lunchtime. No need to book -just come along. On your first visit try to arrive shortly after doors open so that one of the team can have a chat with you to offer advice and answer any questions you may have.

Using pure tones and sounds including crystal bowls and tibetan bowls to achieve deep meditative states, profound relaxation and deep healing.
I hour Sessions £8 places must be reserved in advance.

Sound Baths for Deep Relaxation with Dr. Nicholas Peters

Unwind after a busy week and start your weekend off by soaking in beautiful healing sounds to calm the mind, relax the body, and connect with Spirit.
Commencing with a short guided meditation, followed by a sound bath featuring the healing sounds from handmade Himalayan singing bowls, Koshi wind chimes, rainstick, and other sacred sound instruments. These sound baths will all feature the use of slowly swirling ‘nebula’ light projections on the ceiling to make for a more immersive experience in sound and light. As such, if you are photosensitive, please consider bringing a blindfold to wear.

7:00pm - 8:00pm on the following Fridays: 3rd February | 17th February | 3rd March | 17th March | 31st March
Cost: £12 per person. Booking is essential due to the limited number of spaces available.

Chris teaches Yoga meditation and pranayama on a Monday morning at the Hope Centre, 9.30-10.45. Dru Yoga is a gentle yet powerful flowing yoga style suitable for all abilities. The classes leave you feeling relaxed yet energised. Chris focuses particularly on the health and wellbeing of your spine.

(*) The sound bath on Friday 22nd April (Earth Day) will have a special focus on nurturing a deeper connection to Mother Earth to leave you feeling rooted, grounded, and connected to the world around you.

Each sound bath at The Hope Centre costs £12 per person.

What you need to bring: Yoga mat, pillow and blanket, or a sleeping bag (as you will be lying down for the duration of the session). You may also wish to bring a bottle of water.

Please ensure that you are well-hydrated and that you do not have a full stomach.
