Transformed into a memory 🩷 🐰

This beautiful outfit holds very special memories for this family, so transforming this into a keepsake took some thought. I wanted it to resemble the original items as much as I could 🤔

The rabbit is made from the dress but also has a removable skirt . The same skirt as the dress 👗 with the jacket as contrast fabric for the ears and feet.
She also wears as mini version of the jacket 🧥

A lot of people that order memory Bears and keepsakes meet me before they decide I am the person to make their clothing into memories ❤️

This way we can chat face to face, talk about what they would like included and the different design options.

But I know this isn't always possible. We can chat via messages or a call if need be. 🤳🏻

A lady contacted me asking about memory blankets from her children's clothing and a bear in memory of her Dad ❤️
Her husband dropped off all the clothing to me and we chatted over messages about sizes, preferences etc....the rest was down to me.

Due to the amount of children's clothing I had , we decided to make the blankets double sided, using as much of the clothing as possible.

The bear was to be made from 3 shirts 👕, 1 t-shirt 👕 and a scarf scarf 🧣, again including as much as possible.

So 168 fabric squares and a bear later I have completed the 3 blankets and 1 bear.
The ladies husband picked them all up and I wait to hear from her to make sure she's happy with them all.

Her response was what I always hope to hear ...
"Oh my goodness! Absolutely unreal! I am so so happy thank you so much 💗💗💗"

A close friend of mine trusted me right at the beginning of my keepsake journey to make cushions for the family in memory of her beautiful sister ❤️

That was a true honour ❤️ when her daughter left High School I jumped at the chance of making a memory bear out of her school uniform .

For this bear I had the full school uniform - blazer 🧥, shirt & tie 👔 and sweatshirt 🎒.
I've made uniform bears before but not with a blazer.

I've been thinking of adding removable clothing to the memory Bears for a while but needed the right pattern and the right opportunity. This was the right time.

I need to develop the clothing a bit further but I will share them with you when they are available.

I hope this memory bear keeps lots of memories for this young lady and maybe one day I will make her a graduation keepsake 🎓

This young man graduated from nursery but didn't have a uniform to make into a keepsake 😓

So I made him his own bespoke dog. The colours reflected his graduation and included his favourite thing ..... 🦖🦕

I added his name to the ribbon to personalise his keepsake.

His family have told me how much he loves his dog and that he always takes him to bed 🥰

Thought I'd do a quick post to say don't panic... I've not disappeared

I've been poorly 🤢 with the lurgy that's floating about 😬

I'm feeling better than I did and normal service will resume asap 😁

I am on holiday next week so there will be limited posts for a couple of weeks

When I get back it will be all hands on deck (or on sewing machine) and work towards 🧑‍🎄

I always practice new patterns 🤔 and here is why

I made a cat 😺🐈
The ears and nose need a better shape 👂 👃
The stuffing needs to be tighter on the joints 🦵
The choice of fabric didn't help
I like the tail
I need something for the whiskers 🤔

When I make your keepsake Ive got 1 chance to get it right 😳🫣 your loved ones clothing cannot be replaced ❤️

Back to the drawing board (or sewing machine) for this p***y cat 🐈 practice makes perfect

Next time I will avoid making a bum hole 🫣😳🤣 ⭐
