Where to begin?
This summer, I recorded an EP. I didn't have any concrete plans to do so, but after reached out and offered to help me record, I knew I couldn't miss the opportunity and the tracks we captured over the course of a couple of hours spent in the theatre space of the have proved to be proudest I've ever been of my own recorded work. The six songs include one of the very first songs I ever wrote as The Dove & The Dragon and one that was written especially for the EP. They span six years of loss and love and all the other stuff that comes with growing up and I genuinely can't wait to let them be free in the world. Despite being just me and my guitar, they are a complete collaboration and celebration of sound, of summer, nature and all the different forms of identity love can take and wouldn't have been possible - or at least half as good - without Ben for helping me record, for the space, support and motivation, and for their mixing skills, for the beautiful artwork for this poster and .welsh for being generous enough to allow me to include a song we worked on together a couple of years ago. I feel humbled, grateful and inspired. The Sun King will be available to stream online from the 30th September and is available to pre-save now - link to do so in the writey bit of my page. I'm currently figuring out how to make very DIY physical copies and as of now, have lots of cardboard, blank cds and pens. What they'll end up as, who knows! But I know I'm going to enjoy making them, which is the main thing, and 20% of every sale, however many or few, will be going to .
Which brings me on to the actual image in this post! I didn't feel an EP launch was right for me, so instead, I hereby invite you to a gig celebration (bear with!). On Wednesday 27th November at around 6:30pm, I will be joined once again by the magnificent as I play through the songs from the EP and quite a few others all in aid of and hosted by which, as you may or may not be aware, (continued in comments.. 📝)

George The Concert - Featuring Nick Bold as George Harrison
Friday 20th September 7.30pm
Manchester’s Nick Bold made his first mark on the music business in the 1980s as founding member, lead guitarist and principal songwriter for the British rock band Virginia Wolf.
The band’s membership included drummer Jason Bonham, son of Led Zeppelin’s John “Bonzo” Bonham. Following the release of their Roger Taylor (Queen) produced self-titled debut album, Virginia Wolf were tabbed to be the opening act for The Firm (Jimmy Page/Paul Rogers) on their 1986 US Tour.
To date, he has written hundreds of songs including the hit ballad Man In The Moon which has been covered by numerous artists of all genres.
Taking a cue from his childhood, when he was constantly being told he looked like George Harrison, Bold appeared on the British TV hit Stars in Their Eyes as George. His impeccable impression immediately earned him critical acclaim and led to his performing all over the world in multiple Beatles tributes before becoming a founding member of the US based touring production, The Reunion Beatles.
With George! he is taking his passion for the quiet Beatle to a new level. The two hour plus performance is a tour de force that brings audiences to their feet with joy as Bold embodies the essence of Harrison with his virtuoso guitar playing and spot-on vocals. It’s all there, George’s biggest Beatles hits and all of his wonderful post-breakup solo material.
Nick Bold’s George! is a spirited performance that is as close to what it was like to be at an actual George Harrison concert as you could ever imagine.
