Sunset House Whitby

A preferred new operator for the Alpamare waterpark in Scarborough looks set to be appointed this month.

Our executive will meet next Tuesday where they will be asked to approve plans for officers to begin negotiations with a preferred bidder to operate the attraction on a short-term 12-month basis.

It is hoped that Alpamare will reopen to the public in July in time for the summer 2024 season.

Get it in your diary! Saturday May 14th the first ever Stiddy Beer & BBQ Festival!
We are starting small, but we hope to bring to you a fantastic day of Beers, Ciders, Gins, Food and Music.
We are still in the early days of working out the details but at the moment we are looking for bands, musicians and performers to entertain the crowds, if you are local and want to sing for your supper (and a beer or two) get in touch!
We aim to keep the festival as local as possible, with our BBQ fayre being supplied by Jacksons Butchers and our first brewer confirmed as Guisborough Brewery Ltd. If you have a favourite local ale you think we should have on the bar... let us know and we'll see what we can do...
