A pair of oil paintings by renowned artist Miguel Canals who was very good friends with Pablo Picasso.

His works are becoming very sought after and bonhams had a sale in 1995 dedicated to his artwork. He was famous for recreating famous old master art works.

Antique 6 Ft Tall Dome Top Victorian Ebonised Distressed Mirror

A rather impressive and large Distressed Antique Victorian Period Ebonised Mirror.

 
The Mahogany carved frame being Giltwood and then Ebonised , again the frame is also distressed with flashes of gilding shining through the chippy Ebony.

 

The mirrors backboards are almost as spectacular as the plate itself!

On carved scroll supports with a turned and blocked frame of pegged construction , original french cane back and seats and carved back splats.

 

The chairs sing with history and genuine wear to the timber which has been acquired over time and have only treated it with white Oil to feed the wood as we don't want to lose their Original Appeal.

 

Historical repairs and losses may be present as with all items of Antiquity.

Antique Georgian Solid Mahogany Reading Architect Table

A good George III Reading or Architects Table in Mahogany and surviving from around c1760.

 

Standing on straight tapered supports with brass caster & Cup , the table constructed using fine Mahogany , the frieze banded in Ebony.

 

Two Lovely little drawers to each side with dividers & pen trays with later handles and a candle slide.

 

This charming little table also has a lift up fire screen with a paisley type fabric to stop excess heat from the fire.

 

A hinged lift up top for reading , drawing or writing.

 

A mahogany bar can be fitted free of charge to the bottom of this to enable the book to stay on when tilted.
