We have some new additions to our Bielsa Bar from The Wold Top Brewery.

Enjoy local brews Wold Top Bitter, Wold Gold or a refreshing cold Landmark Lager.

These beers are brewed up on the Yorkshire Wolds near Driffield which you can visit and enjoy a brewery tour.

An honour to have some of you staying with us for Scarborough Armed Forces Day. 🥁 🪈 💂

The Yorkshire Corps of Drums will be performing throughout the day atScarborough Armed Forces Day including in the Formal Area at 2.30pm.

They formed in July 2001 by a small group of corps of drums members from various British army regiments.

They have their own accommodation in Harewood Barracks, Leeds thanks to support from The Reserve Forces and Cadets Association.

The corps exists to preserve the military tradition of drum and flute/fife music which has existed in England since the early 1500’s.

You won't want to miss them!

Such a pleasure to welcome back Matlock Town Football Club’s very own all time top goal scorer Pete Scott to our hotel this week.

Pete played at Wembley in 1975 when Matlock Town beat our very own Scarborough Athletic FC 4-0 in the FA Trophy Final. (Sorry Boro Fans)

Matlock got to the third round of the The FA Cup in 1977 beating Geoff Hurst’s Telford along the way. Matlock eventually lost to Carlisle United Football Club and missed out on a fourth round tie with Liverpool who got to the final - they lost that to that team from Salford who knocked out the Mighty Leeds United in the semi final at Hillsborough.

A lovely chap with some incredible stories from back when football was football and we look forward to welcoming Pete and his lovely wife Christine Scott back in August.

When you’ve watered and fed a full hotel and they’ve all gone to watch Status Quo at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, it’s time to watch Rocky IV and enjoy an Indian takeaway.

Sure everyone will need watering again at half ten ☀️😂😂

A group of friends come to stay with us every May to get together, play some golf, have a few beers and enjoy some good food.

It’s great to catch up with everyone again and see them enjoying our gorgeous coastline.

What a beautiful day for them today as they head out to play South Cliff Golf Club, Scarborough, and then on to Filey Golf Club tomorrow before heading home.

We hope our breakfasts keep them going !
