✨Come see us at The Street tomorrow to make your garden zines and learn about our upcoming exhibition ‘Rooted’!✨

Come have some fun at this year’s Waste Not Want Not Summer Fair!

Want to try blacksmithing? Eat free seafood? And build your own bird box?!

These are just some of the many activities you can try at the Waste Not Want Not Fair. Adults and children can get hands on with activities such as mini wormery making, solar light jar making, hand and machine sewing, spinning & weaving and more! All while learning about local heritage skills and knowledge that can help our communities to save money, get creative and be more self-sufficient. There will also be plenty of sustainable items to shop!

Supported through The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the event is part of a series of activity-based events and workshops that bring people together to build community, develop understanding of the ways in which our heritage can help save money and boost resilience, and show how the use of these skills can benefit the climate and nature.

Under that reads the word ’22 June - 31 August 2024.’ To then be followed by logos of the project stakeholders.]

You may have noticed there is work going on in Woodend Main Gallery, because of this our upcoming artist James Brunts’ exhibition is being moved into our neighbours at Scarborough Art Gallery.

Coastal Ecologies is the result of a new commission from Scarborough Museums and Galleries and Crescent Arts to widen opportunities for Northern artists and share the interest of ecology, sustainability and the changing natural world with regional audiences.

This Spring-starting from Saturday 16th we’re leaving out some beautiful papers kindly donated by G . F Smith and resources for you to collage your colours. Use your creativity to create your own story and artwork to reflect your emotions-thinking about what that may sound like.
