Happy Yorkshire Day, a day where we celebrate all things Yorkshire. The origins of the day are a bit vague, but it is commonly associated with a victory that the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantary had on this day at the Battle of Minden

The sun is out so we took the camera on a walk over to Fen Bog in the North York Moors National Park to watch the engines of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway .

The heather is just about coming in to bloom, so the moors will start to look at their summer time best very shortly.

We’re excited to welcome back The Tour Of Britain to the North York Moors in 2024!

Stage 2 of the UK’s biggest professional cycle race will be starting in Darlington and finishing in Redcar, passing through the Esk Valley all the way out to the coast at Robin Hood's Bay, turning north to Whitby before hugging the coastline to the finish.

It includes the King of Mountains climb above Ugglebarnby – averaging over 8% across its one-kilometre length.

From a walk past the Scarborough Spa the past last weekend, showing off the sweep of the South Bay at Scarborough.

We had a late evening visitor to our field this evening. A barn owl quartering the field looking for prey. We continue to be amazed at the wild life on our doorstep.
