Megan Creighton Veterinary Physiotherapy
MSc Veterinary Physiotherapist, AHPR Registered
Evening everyone,
Sorry for the lack of posts this week I have been enjoying some family time in the sun ☀️, but I am back to a busy day at work tomorrow.
I have the second part of the pole work series coming this week and a little bit of canine content coming too 🤩🤩
I’m pretty full for the next two weeks so please bear with me I will try get your pets in where I can but I’m filling up to near August ✨
Barry has also had a little injury whilst I was away and I have started to laser it today I will share with you all the progress when I get some more pictures.
If you need an appointment give me a shout and I’ll get you sorted… excited to be back after my break!

Had an incredible time today at , it was a pleasure to demonstrate my veterinary physiotherapy treatments and see the salt therapy and treadmill demos in action. I’m thrilled to be working alongside Amelia and Elspeth on their new project. Exciting times ahead ✨
It’s not just about hands-on treatment and exercises with my animal patients. There’s a lot more that goes into ensuring the best care for your pets✨
My day involves plenty of paperwork and report writing to keep detailed records of each patient’s progress. I spend a significant amount of time planning individualised exercise programs tailored to meet the specific needs of each animal, I also have new software to make this so much efficient and professional!
Maintaining my equipment is also crucial – from charging machines to regular checks to ensure they are functioning correctly. All these steps are essential to deliver effective and safe treatments…. and let’s not forget all the hours I spend driving to and from each client.
Next time I visit, know that a lot of dedication and effort goes on behind the scenes to support the health and wellbeing of best friends.

A snippet of facts about me ✨
I just love to see a sleepy face 💤
This common response to treatment is a clear indicator of relaxation and comfort. During physiotherapy, whether it's through massage, electrotherapy, or other hands-on techniques, the horse's body releases endorphins which are the natural "feel-good" hormones. These endorphins help alleviate pain and induce a state of deep relaxation.
As tension melts away, horses feel safe and secure, allowing their eyes to droop and their bodies to enter a restful state. The response is evidence of the effectiveness from treatments in promoting not just physical healing, but also overall well-being and stress relief.
Derwent Hunt Pony Club third at the Bramham pony club showjumping, massive well done to the team. All of you my lovely clients it’s so nice to see you all enjoying yourselves and getting good results 🥉🏆
I have some spaces left for the end of June and into July. I will be having a week off in July so appointments around this time may be a little limited.
Message me or call me 07817001834 to book an appointment.

These winter months can take a toll on our equine friends, causing stiffness and discomfort. Leverage the benefits of equine veterinary physiotherapy with a session with me using massage, heat therapy, laser, and PEMFT.
I have some limited appointments left in February and my diary is now open up to April ❤️
As work is finished for 2023 I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.
Thank you to every single one of you for letting me be apart of your furry friends journey, I honestly love helping them and keeping them in tip top condition.
This year I have welcomed my beautiful little girl Bronte Margot into the world and even though I’ve had some time away I have seen so many of my clients flourish and grow. Positive results have been seen all round.
I am back full time as of February and have some limited appointments left in January. I am looking forward to seeing clients old and new in 2024 and can’t wait for another exciting year of seeing my clients strive in what they do.
Here’s some snippets of my clients this year (I could only add ten- I wish I could add you all!!)
I’m so lucky that this is my job.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Love this post done by my fellow vet phys, really good information… if you think your horse has started to show displacement of the tail, always best to get it checked! 🤍⭐️
Good morning 🌅, it’s feeling cold this morning but the sun is shining. My social media has been quite due to still being on maternity leave so I thought I would share some photos of my most recent KIT return to work days.

Another great KIT day at work… swipe for before ➡️
As you can see in the two images, the horse has more balance and symmetry after physiotherapy treatment. Laser therapy, PEMFT and massage techniques were performed in order to re-balance the asymmetries that were found. The owner has now been given remedial exercises to maintain this posture and balance at home.
🤍
…. we finally have had some Sun and the rain has eased☀️ It has been lovely to see some great results from my clients out and about over the weekend. All my days for August are booked up and I am now planning my return to work days for September 🐎🐕
I have a few dates in mind for my diary. Please give me a shout if you want an appointment booking in for your horse or dog and I will get you sorted this week 🤍🤍 x
Two of my best girls smashing the riding club championships this weekend. Musical Legend winning the 100 eventing and becoming national champion and Sycamore Lilly coming second! So proud of you .hamilton03 and just love helping keeping your girls in top form ✨x
All the hard work has paid off and I have finally passed and completed my MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy. Thank you to all that completed my surveys, my gang from Writtle for sharing the same grit and determination and my continued support from all my clients ✨ Writing a dissertation whilst pregnant and having a two year old wasn’t easy but I am officially a master of science 🧠 x
Nice day back at for a canine clinic… I am now back in the practice every 3 weeks ✨
One of my regular clients Zarabanda winning at Nottingham Races yesterday 🏆, love helping keep this smart little filly on top form! Chuffed for all involved- what a great result! 🤍

When you visit another yard and their tackroom has lots of your lovely rosettes 😍👌
Megan Creighton Veterinary Physiotherapy some of your beautiful dressage series rosettes there too!
Made by Legacy Rosettes
Massive good luck to .hamilton03 who is competing this week in the at Badminton . I have been keeping Peppa in shape with regular physiotherapy sessions over the past few months and she is feeling ready to go…. Super proud of you both, you will smash it 💫x
That feel good feeling ☁️☁️
During physiotherapy treatments endorphins are released through massage therapy, electrotherapies and stretching. Endorphins are the body’s natural painkillers, and are released by the hypothalamus and pituitary glands. The release of hormones relieves pain and creates a sense of general well-being… Monty will surely be feeling good after his treatment today 🤍
Balance and proprioception training. My aims with Binky are to now strengthen and challenge muscles 💪🏼 which became weak and atrophied after an RTC incident over the Christmas period. Binky has had a really strong recovery and I have loved watching her get better and better each time I see her 🤍✨
Get in touch with me for information about how veterinary physiotherapy can help your canine companion 🐶
A helping hand watching me assess horses working up this morning 🤍🌷
Bobby supervising this afternoons physiotherapy sessions 👀
Have a good weekend everybody 🤍
It’s a freezing morning again but I am out on the road treating animals 🥶
My first job this morning was a laser session performed to stimulate fibers to initiate the repair process. Not only is this process speeding up the recovery period from a minor injury it is also strengthening the muscle fibres to reduce the risk of re-injury and further complication.
Now to try and keep warm for the rest of the day ❄️🌨️ stay safe in this weather everybody x
It may be freezing outside but Winnie is keeping snug this morning during her physiotherapy session 💤
The pulse mag machine is used with Winnie in every session to deliver long term relief caused by arthritis and older age.
Amongst the benefits of PEMF therapy for dogs, it may improve overall health. Including better cellular metabolism, circulation, endurance, and energy production.
Canine physiotherapy sessions start at £40 and are tailored to each individual ✨
Peppa enjoying that Friday feeling, after the use of electrotherapy’s massage was used globally to increase range of motion and suppleness further.
Massage therapy has been scientifically proven to increase stride length in walk and trot!! Peppa will be having regular sessions with me in the run up to the The Voltaire Design Grassroots Championships at Badminton House and I’m so proud of this combination ✨
Happy weekend everybody 🤍🤍🤍
Happy Friday ☁️
I have had a really busy week treating lots of lovley pets… the next few weeks are looking really busy. I am looking forward to meeting lots of new clients 🤍
I need to be better at taking pictures during treatments, so here is Aubree’s pony George soaking in some winter sun ☀️
