There are people who go the extra mile to uplift and inspire those around them, like lighthouses shining a bright light on the good qualities of others. But even lighthouses need care to recharge their energy. Santa Zīmele Santa is one of those rare souls, and her daughter recognized that she, too, could use a reminder of her own beauty and strength. Wanting to celebrate her mother's radiant spirit, she gifted her a feminine, natural photoshoot. It was truly an honor to capture Santa's incredible personality and to be surrounded by the warmth and kindness she brings to everyone she meets.

Fantastic time capturing some photographs for personal branding at Monika's home! 🌟 It's always a challenge not to get distracted by the adorable four-legged models on set 🐶—I may or may not have had to remind myself who the main subject was a few times! 😂

I walked into this photoshoot after a really stressful day, unsure of how I'd manage. But then I met Monika, and everything changed. Her calming energy and peaceful presence made our session feel like therapy. When I learned she’s a psychology therapist and yoga teacher, it all made perfect sense. Building a new skill isn't easy; it's a bumpy road. After four years of portrait photography, I still feel like a beginner, always finding new ways to improve.

There's a trap in constantly striving to be better; I try to remind myself often that it's worth refocusing on the process. Enjoy the moment of creativity and be present, not fixated on the outcome.
