Bronze maggots.

Bronze has always been a popular colour when it comes to fishing, especially for river fishing as various fish love them, especially Roach, Dace and Chub 🎣

It’s important as well to take the colour of water into account, when you come across a brown tinge in the water then the Bronze maggot can really work in your favour.

Mr Fresh as Fresh catches a lovely common.

On Aaron’s recent trip to France, he caught a lovely common on some W***y Worms red maggots. Not bad at all considering his primary type of angling is for barbel!

The red maggots are such a great bait for carp, they love it and if you get them feeding on them it can really switch the fish on. Carp are attracted to the look of maggots due to their predatory instincts, plus if applied in the correct way can really cause the fish to keep coming back for more.

Well done Aaron, can’t go wrong when using the little wrigglers.

Worm tips from Tom Maker 🪱🎣🐳

As we know, Tom is a great lover of using naturals and live baits within his fishing…. and as the saying goes “he catches wherever he goes” 😁

Whether you are using worms, maggots or other live baits, there are a few steps for each of them to keep them lasting fresher for longer.

Worms love a dark, cold and moist environment. Moisture and oxygen are vital and the soil should be kept just as wet as a wrung-out kitchen towel. A worm’s skin is photosensitive and therefore they need a dark environment.
