Did you know, there are 3 key parts to Timothy Hay?
1. THE SEED HEAD
The seed head is the delicious part of the crop that your pets will find irresistible and come to think of as a treat.
2. THE LEAF
The leaf is a natural source of the essential vitamins and minerals that small herbivores need to maintain a healthy and balanced diet.
3. THE STEM
The most important part of the hay, each stem is high in fibre, which helps digestion and prevents obesity, a growing issue for small pets.
Hereβs why Timothy Hay is so good! π
πΎ Bedding Hay Vs Timothy Hay πΎ

Where did Timothy Hay get its name from? π€
Back in the 18th century, an American farmer began introducing this form of grass to the Southern states.
Based on his recommendation, it became a popular source of feed for cattle farmers in the UK.
His name was Timothy Hanson. π
We recently delivered 16 boxes of premium Newhay Timothy feeding hay to Gwen at Bunny Burrows pet rescue in Richmond.
We hope all the fantastic rabbits, hares and guinea pigs they care for enjoy the hay!
American Pharoah is a Triple Crown champion racehorse. π
He is also fed a diet of top-quality Timothy Hay. πΎ
From small pets to powerful racehorses, Timothy Hayβs qualities mean itβs the best option for your herbivorous friend.
