Our summer calendar is booking up speedy fast with weddings, festivals, and events – but don’t worry, we still have a few weekend dates available! If you're thinking about booking us, now’s the time to get in touch before it’s too late.
For those who don’t already know, we cater for everything – from sporting events and work parties to hen dos, weddings, birthdays, baby showers... you name it, we’ve got you covered.
Our services range from cozy grazing boxes for five to share, all the way up to epic street food banquets for hundreds and even fancy canapé service fit for a ball.

Have you ever had that one dish that just changes the game? For me, it was chaat. I first tasted this incredible explosion of flavours while traveling through India—sweet, tangy, spicy and crunchy. It’s a popular street food that can be had SOOOO many ways.
So, here’s the deal: we’ve taken the heart of chaat and given it our own twist. Think fresh, bold, plant-based goodness with our unique spice blend, plus we’re throwing in samosas AND pakoras because, well… why not?

🌞🥗 This week at Union Street Cafe has been fantastic! The halloumi salad bowl was a hit in the sunshine. We’ll be back for more pop-up lunches this summer, so don’t miss out!
Pictured is our halloumi salad made with Cypriot grilled halloumi, Mediterranean spiced lentils, spinach, rocket, pomegranate, orange-honey carrots, organic vine tomatoes, and honey mustard glaze. It’s served with pita bread and hummus. Yum!😋🥙🥕

What’s The Story?
Icarus and Apollo is an internationally inspired start-up food vendor of unique and sustainable plant based meals sourced as locally to our home town of Sheffield as possible. The dishes themselves reflect a blend of cultural inspiration from our travels across the world, including countries such as the Philippines, Spain, France, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Canada, India, Turkey and America, with our passion for sustainable and ethically sourced and created food products.
Our dishes offer plant based alternatives for both vegetarians and vegans. Not only are the type and methods of growing the ingredients in our foods important to consider when thinking sustainably, but also how they get to us. Hence, we seek to grow, source and use the most local ingredients to not only help the environment, but also support local communities and businesses, and ensure the freshest of food options are provided to our customers.
Icarus and Apollo aims to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We do this through growing a lot of our herbs and spices, harnessing energy through solar panels on our van, using recyclable and biodegradable packaging, as well as only offering vegan and vegetarian options.
Taking us just over five weeks of non-stop work, we were able to convert a seemingly tired 1995 Avondale caravan and converted it into our dream food van. After an almost full rip out and rebuild of the internal structure, we were then able to get creative with the space and open it up to become an extremely flexible space. The van itself is made of 80% recycled material, utilises solar power and even panelling from the 1970's kitchen of our Grandfather Joseph, whom without his guidance and support we wouldn't have completed the project. In the end, we have our boho inspired retro design that brings plenty of interest when on the road, and even more at events.
