It’s Wednesday and we are posting to tell you about what we have going on at our lovely shop on Abbeydale Road 😊
We now have NEW stock in our shop ! Ideal for gifts for that special someone. The Finley Fox vase and Frida eggcups are my faves . Prices start from £5 and they are displayed near our till point .
The amazing Voodoo v***n dress is also getting lots of compliments 😍 gorgeous .
If you’re a bit of a plant lover we have acquired quite a few pots from one of our wonderful donors ….come and bag a few before they disappear.
We are open until 5pm today for you to browse, buy or donate .

We have been busy over the past few days processing your wonderful donations and getting the shop ready for the shift into the new season 🍁🍂🪵
Autumn starts next week ! Can’t quite believe it 😯 we have been putting out stock in preparation for the cooler days ahead . The shop is starting to feel and look more Autumnal but we still have stock out for those random late summer days as well 😊

We are really excited to announce that we are opening another shop at Banner Cross, so we are seeking volunteers and also donations.

There is definitely a sense of Spring in the air and our shop is starting to reflect that now In the stock we are putting out on to the shop floor 😎

We’ve had a bit of a window refresh this morning with Spring inspired outfits to hopefully catch your attention and inspire you lovely lot as well with your wardrobe choices .
There are some great items in store at the moment so if you fancy treating yourself then why not pop in and have a look 👀
Remember that there are a couple of important dates this week as well that may give you an excuse to treat yourself or others 😉
We have International Women’s Day on Saturday the 9th and of course Mothers Day on Sunday the 10th .What other excuses do you need to come in store and shop with us ?

Making the most from the clothing we buy and getting creative with how we style our outfits is fun !
This morning I tried a few different ways to style this rather lovely red polka dot dress 😍
Dressed down with pumps and a casual shirt for a great Spring time look 👟
Teamed with a blazer for a more formal outfit or go Vintage inspired with a sprinkle of French style for that “ ooo la laaa “ factor .
I’m loving the vintage vibe it’s so cute 🥰

Here at Age UK Sheffield Abbeydale we have some amazing bags that have been generously donated .
The ones on the first picture are felt bags that were handmade in Morocco , they are stunning and new with tags ! A great gift for someone or a special treat for yourself ☺️
We have a selection of leather bags , branded bags and wonderful footwear as well at great prices . Of course as well as the wonderful accessories we have the clothing , bric , homewares , books , kids stuff as well . Pop in and have a look …..we are open 9am to 5pm weekdays and 9am to 4pm on Saturdays.

We have gone a tad festive here in our little shop 🎄
Yes I know it seems like that special day is a while away yet but it’s looming and already our lovely customers are buying stocking fillers and outfits for Christmas parties🥳
As always we are putting out lots of preloved items everyday so there is always something new to the eye in store 🤩

How are we doing ? Storm Babet definitely caused a bit of a stir yesterday for some of us 😱🌧️☔️💨
We had to close early yesterday so colleagues could get home safely but the good news is that we are back open today 🥳
So if you have a bit of cabin fever after being indoors all day yesterday why not get your weather friendly clobber on and stroll down to see us today !
We have had some great donations this week especially on our menswear 😍 One of our regular very generous donors has given us a donation of Pretty Green , Lyle and Scott which is going out on the shop floor today !
The shop also has a nod to the upcoming festive season and some great ladies wear and accessories for the chilly weather 🥶

Amazing adidas dungaree dress , adorable Amy Brackenbury collectible cat plates , pure wool vintage jumper , lovely Limoges tea / coffee set , exquisite fine silk woven bird pictures , Spectrum Glam Clam make up brushes and lots of other fantastic pre loved items 😍

Can’t quite believe that it’s September already !
Hope you have all had a great summer and are enjoying this lovely warm weather 😎

As usual we have been busy in the shop going through your generous donations and getting the shop ready for the transition into another season and to bring awareness to the Secondhand September campaign ♻️

Secondhand September is a campaign that promotes reusing , rewearing , donating , reducing waste and buying stylish outfits that don’t cost the earth 🌍 The idea is to shop secondhand for the whole of September .Yes ! the whole 30 days ! Can you do it ?
It doesn’t have to be just clothing either , it could be books , bric a brac , toys , games …… the list goes on .
As a seasoned secondhand shopper I highly recommend having a good old rummage in your local charity shop 👀 we have some fantastic items and shopping with us is kinder to our planet , to your pocket and you are helping to support a local charity 🙌🙌🙌
