We are delighted to announce our first modern collaboration with Ossett Brewery
Say hello to Silver Rider!
Silver Rider - American Pale Ale - 4.3%
We popped over to Ossett a couple of weeks ago to brew a beer that celebrates the shared heritage between both breweries, combining elements of both our Easy Rider and Ossett’s Silver King!
Silver Rider is a pale golden and bitter American Pale Ale, brewed from four American “C hop” varieties - Cascade, Centennial, Chinook and Citra to give aromas of citrus and tropical fruits, & gluten free 🍻
Join us tomorrow night (Thursday 13th) from 6pm for the launch event and first pour of Silver Rider in Kelham Island (of course) SALT Sheffield
Casks available from Ossett Brewery as a limited release from next week. Look out for it pouring across Sheffield!

Get Together Festival returns this Saturday! We are delighted to be once again sponsoring The Kelham Beer Mile.

🎉 Easy Rider Launch Day! 🎉
We’re heading over the hill to Peakender to do the first pour of the next Kelham Classic to make a return.
Had a lot of people ask about bottles and yes, 500ml bottle-conditioned Easy Rider is in the works and we’ll tell you more soon.
Until then get your local to get it on cask!
You’ll start seeing it appear in and around Sheff from next week and then… THE WORLD!*
* By ‘THE WORLD’ I mean other places that aren’t Sheffield really. Probably, like, Leeds, bits of Manchester, definitely Chezzy, slices of London, nice bit of Bristol, smattering of the north east, then you’ll get a random appearance in Devon or Cumbria. Anyway, if your pub wants some, wherever it may be, let us know. 👍

We’re so chuffed to be involved in Pete's Pub Crawl!
Pete Mckee Art is hosting a three-day Sheffield pub crawl this July, celebrating the importance of the much-loved local as part of his upcoming exhibition 'Frank & Joy - a Love Story’
, , and are all taking part over 7th - 9th July,
Pete has joined forces with us lot at Kelham Island Brewery to produce a limited-edition Frank & Joy beer for the event, which will be available at all four of the venues across the pub crawl weekend.
There's also a special limited edition glass that can be collected by visiting all four pubs and some other McKee goodies.

So, bit of news, Pale Rider will be available on all the bars at Arctic Monkeys huge homecoming shows next week at Hillsborough Park!
In 2003 in Kelham Island: In the back of the Fat Cat, Dave Wickett brewed Pale Rider for the very first time.
Round the corner 4 lads from Sheffield were practising for what would be their first gig at The Grapes. The rest, as they say, is history.
20 years later and down the road from where it all began for both Pale Rider and Arctic Monkeys!

Delighted to be invited to take part in The Great Exhibition of Prized Ales at Kirkstall Brewery this Saturday!
We’ve gone back in time in Sheffield history to make and pay homage to a truly unique beer:
1950s, Sheffield, a revolutionary type of Barleywine was produced by Tennant Brothers (founded in 1840 in the city).
Unlike Barelywines before it, this very strong beer was pale in colour. At a mind-boggling 10.6 percent ABV, Gold Label became the strongest regularly brewed beer in the UK.
And it sold incredibly well! Even when Whitbread took over Tennant Brothers in the 60’s they continued to market Gold Label across the country. With the straight to the point tagline of:
“As strong as a double whisky and half the price.”
Our homage to this Sheffield icon is a (vaguely) less ludicrous 9.9% version.
