MHA needs volunteer telephone befrienders! Could that be you? 📞
Each telephone befriender is matched with an older person to have regular chats to help them feel less alone and isolated.
A half an hour call seems really simple, but having someone to talk to and someone to listen, could really make a difference. You could be the only person they speak to that day or even that week.

The tree is up. Elsie has switched on the lights and her dream has come true. Thanks to all the staff who helped out & to the staff inside the building who kept the day to day service running. . Thank you to Plant Rotherham without whom none of this would have been possible
Moments of joy: The delight on Elsie's face watching the lights going up. She kept a close eye on proceedings
Getting ready for Elsie's big day. Elsie who is our oldest resident, asked us to decorate the tree outside her apartment. Only problem is that Elsie lives on first floor and the tree is about 42 feet high. So thanks to the wonderful staff at Plant Rotherham we managed to get a cherry picker and our maintenance worker Chris and Brammer we managed to make her wish come true.
