In October 2025 Windows 10 support will be coming to and end, what this means is that Microsoft will no longer be providing security updates to Windows 10. Without Microsoft providing updates into the future, Windows 10 will not just become obsolete, but will in fact become far more dangerous to continue using from a security perspective. Viruses, malware and other such attacks are likely to increase on Windows 10 from this date.

With this in mind we are encouraging our customers to be proactive about this issue and either upgrade or replace existing devices running Windows 10 or earlier sooner rather than later whilst prices are still low and to avoid the rush to upgrade when the time inevitably arrives.

In recent years we have seen an alarming trend of laptop manufacturers producing new products which are shipping with incredibly low and slow amounts of storage. In most cases these laptops are aimed at being the cheapest around, but with as little as 32GB or 64GB of storage, these machines will fill run out of storage very quickly through nothing more than unavoidable Windows updates. If you have an iPhone 13 or newer then your phone will have more storage than these laptops!

We would like to advise our customers when purchasing a laptop, be it from us or elsewhere to make sure you are getting ample amounts of storage, ideally at least 128GB, 256GB being a better option for most. This doesn't mean spending a bunch more money, but it does mean that you are far less likely to suffer buyers remorse.

Do you have a Mac with a screen that looks similar to this? If so, your Mac has suffered from the dreaded "Staingate" issue which plagues several models of the MacBook lineup of devices. This occurs when the anti-glare coating on the screen starts to delaminate and wear away from the screen. There are a few ways to tackle this issue, the most costly of which is buying a replacement screen, but don't worry there is a cheaper option, we have a method to remove the remaining anti-glare coating which greatly improves the look and usability of the screen on the Mac. If you are interested in either getting the remaining anti-glare coating removed or indeed getting a new screen altogether, please do get in touch!
