RHR is such a great track, despite the last lap break managed to get the XB2 back up and running from the weekend. Dialled and ready for this weekends 2WD regional race at A1 Grantham. Looking forward to it…

Round 5 Mid East Regional
West Bridgford

In the heats, whilst others would be unlucky with rain assist going the wrong way. In Sheffield it was hot and dry. I opted to go vintage, hedge and mower racing this weekend missing the Westbridgford regional 🥲

Round 1 — front garden hedges
Round 2 — rear garden left hedge and half 20ft rear
Round 3 — feeling the pace I opted to finish the rear and half the right hedges. Not my best run
Round 4 — would be my toughest yet with the tallest and a conifer hedge to contend with. Exhausted but finished the round.

Now at 5pm we had the Final to bring it home. Started well sweeping and clearing the front, just leaving the grass for Sunday’s racing. Then in an epic battle I took on the rear 3 hedge back garden clean up. Starting from the back I battled my way all the way through the pack to come home with a win 🥇 in A final (wife’s away - brownie points).

Day 2 Sunday early start.
Managed to do all rounds by 10.30
Final would be a breeze with my vintage hover, 2 blade, no off switch! Electric. Started pole ended in pole and wrapped it up for a cup of tea by 11:30 🏆

Thanks to my new pit man Prince for all his company and support throughout. This puppies got game 😉
