After our recent visit to a family orchard, we came across these teeny tiny (incredibly tart) apples. Bigger than crab but much smaller than your average apple, we knew they could only be enjoyed one way.

Dipped in caramel and placed on top of a poached vanilla & apple custard filled doughnut.
