Join us for a nostalgic trip back in time at the Papplewick Pumping Station 1940s Event! Step into the past on Oct 21st & Oct 22nd 2023 and immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and spirit of the 1940s.

Located on Rigg Lane Ravenshead, Nottingham, NG15 9AJ, the pumping station's event promises an unforgettable experience. Get ready to be transported to an era of vintage charm and wartime nostalgia.

Indulge in the lively atmosphere as you explore the various war time exhibits, displays, and vehicles on show. Witness fascinating demonstrations of steam-powered machinery, marvel at the impressive pumping station that has stood the test of time and take a tour of the awe-inspiring underground reservoir (additional fees apply for the tour).

Don't forget to dress up in your finest 1940s attire! Join fellow enthusiasts and enthusiasts-to-be as we celebrate the fashion, music, history and culture of the era. Expect live music from Kevin Mac & Eleanor Mattley (Sat) and Johnny Victory & Jayne Darling (Sun), the stirring call of The Battle Pipes and perhaps even a surprise appearance from Field Marshall Montgomery himself!

Trade stands selling vintage clothing and ephemera will be on site to entice you, have a pint of real ale at the Lincoln Green Brewery beer tent and indulge in refreshments from the tea room and pop-up café. Bring your family and friends along for a truly memorable weekend filled with history, fun, and a touch of vintage magic.

Note: All admission tickets are entitled to a 12-month annual pass - pay once and attend all our subsequent steam events for no extra cost (inc. next year's 1940s event on Oct 19th/20th 2024).

Your annual pass is collected and validated on the day of your visit. It is not issued ahead of your visit.

Annual pass holders & association members do not need to book on line - just turn up and present your valid pass / membership card at the Returnees gate
