I'm really proud to say I've completed my Master Diploma in Floristry and got the highest score in the UK for the theory exam. Last night I got a little trophy and everything 💥 The exam played to my strengths risk and method statements combined with sketches and discussion on traditional funeral pieces from around the world, literally love researching culture and flowers! Even got to sketch and explain the cultural significance of a rattan coffin woven into an ox
Anyhow here's a blatant yay me! Post !

Working with this team creating some big installations was an absolute pleasure last month. I want to say a massive public thank you to you all. Being creative on demand in a field isn't easy, working out how to get enough water for 12ft palms to survive when the Taos are off???- throw them in the lake , creating a fresh orange arch in a mini heat wave then making sure 100s of stems of pampass look great in a deluge😂 Everyone brought so much to the big floral table and completely owned It. Thank you, you beautiful creative hardworking elastic thinking women I adore you # #
Not forgetting Ash's sister and bro in law too who saved the day in lots of ways and for helping us rip it all down

Never mind that 😂 it'll be gorgeous flowery and totally restorative.

We designed and made an immersive, inverted plantscape at Chelsea Flower Show inspired by the work of Project Seagrass and with CANNA UK as our plant expert sponsors.
If you are attending the show take a picture inside it and cuddle it 💚 it was quite the thing, and an utter privilege! thank you RHS - Royal Horticultural Society for letting this dream come true !
We are thrilled to be exhibiting our floral installation "infinite meadows"at the greatest ,biggest flower show in the world! A lot of planning and love is being poured into this installation and I can't wait to show you all the details soon. Even better, come see us and our big green cuddle of an exhibit, tickets are on sale rhs.org.uk/chelsea
I'm really proud and a bit terrified to be exhibiting alongside florists I greatly admire. It's going to be blummin gorgeousness all round! 💗🌱🪴
As we don't use floral foam I like to think of other mediums to make designs with solid shapes. This small daffodil funeral piece is on clay, a medium I learnt a lot using and one I hope to use more of.

To celebrate
We are celebrating our fabulous apprentice florist
Here's part 2 of all about you questions. Chloe has worked with me for over a year and studies with if you have any questions about an apprenticeship scheme being an employer or being an apprentice ask us below 💫
Anyone have a secret dream of being a florist?
💚Favourite place to drink?
Easily Nottingham House in Broomhill. My friends and I meet there at least once a week to catch up and I just love it there. It reminds me of my uni days (lol) and it’s so cozy and chill. They also do the best pies in Sheffield.
💚Hardest thing about being an apprentice?
I’ve made the mistake of leaving pretty much most of my theory work aside for the past year instead of doing it regularly, which means I now have to do it all as I’m coming towards the end of my apprenticeship. So I’d say the amount of work can be a bit overwhelming at times, especially if you don’t get on top of it right from the start.
💚What is my floristry dream job?
I would looove to get into editorial floristry. Something like a Vogue cover or a Fashion Week runway would be amazing to do. I doubt it will happen but you can always dream!
💚What advice would you give to anyone reading this who wants to become a florist?
I would say to just go for it! I know it can be very scary to start a new job, but it ends up very extremely fulfilling and I’ve never been as happy as I’ve been since I started working into floristry. It can be hard to find an employer but keep persevering and if it’s meant to be it will happen :)
It's so I thought it would be nice to get to know better with a few fun questions about her and about changing/starting a career in floristry under the apprenticeship program.
Chloe started working for Orchis 18 months ago and also attends gaining her level 2
Chloe like me loves a chinwag, so it'll surprise no one we've had to split the questions over 2 posts 🤣
Chloe is an amazing apprentice and is already an insanely talented florist. We are very lucky to have her working with us 💚
💚What is the best thing about being an apprentice?
Probably the fact that I’m learning whilst getting hands-on experience with an employer. It can be difficult sometimes to do both, and it can get quite intense but it’s worth it to get your qualification. You also have the opportunity to study up to Level 5.
💚Where is the place I feel the most at home?
Sheffield has been my home for almost seven years now so that seems like the most logical answer, but I’ve been feeling very homesick recently. I went to Spain with my family for Christmas, as it’s been our tradition for a long time, and I’ve been missing it ever since I’ve been back. The people in San Sebastián are so lovely, I love the culture there and I could spend hours on the beach. So I guess I would say San Sebastián.
💚Favourite flower IG account?
I’ve been trying to follow more
non-British florists recently to expand my horizons and see what’s out there. Right now, I’m obsessed with .paris. They’re a concept store based in Paris and I love their hand tieds. I’m also a big fan of and .
💚Where did I grow up?
I grew up in a small French town called Le Mans (1 hour away from Paris). It’s quite small but very cute. We have a lovely old town that’s great for tourists and we also have the 24 Hours car race!!
💚Favourite place to eat in Sheffield?
Sheffield is a great place for vegans so that’s a difficult question, but I love bao buns so I would say either on Abbeydale Road or in
