I wanted to come on here and thank each and every one of my lovely ladies for keeping me busy this year. Covid was tough but this year has been the worst I’ve felt in 7 years due to cost of living as priorities have changed when it comes to beauty.

Whether you’ve been with me for months or years I am so grateful as without you, my business would not exist. 🙏🏽

You’ve all become a huge part of my pregnancy journey whether it be offering advice, support and genuine happiness for myself and my family 🥰 I thank you all for your wonderful gifts, cards and flowers and I can’t wait to catch up again in January on my return. 🤎

But for now I’m clocking off and counting down till we get to meet our little lady. Have a lovely Christmas 🎄 and I’ll see you all in 2024!!

I get this question more than anything else so let’s clear this up..

Waxing removes hair from the root, so proper hair length is crucial. ✋🏽 Ideally, hair should be at least 1/4 inch long for effective waxing—this allows the wax to adhere properly for efficient hair removal. If the hair is too short, the wax may not grip it effectively, leading to less satisfactory results.

I usually suggest booking for your first wax around 3 weeks since shaving. There really is no such thing as “too long” so if in doubt just think “the longer the better” for the most effective results! 😄

As another busy week closes, another one opens as I approach my pregnancy due date. 🤰🏻

Recently it’s become apparent to me that waxing has given me a whole new purpose other than just to remove unwanted hair from women. Only yesterday I met a lady who felt she could only book in after she’d seen I posted another plus size lady on my grid. It makes me so sad to think people feel they can’t have a treatment because of their size! 😞

I feel my purpose is to help boost body confidence in women, make them feel that size doesn’t matter but most of all make them feel comfortable. 🥲

We live in a world where we compare ourselves to all the images we see on social media, in glossy magazines and in adverts everywhere.. images that have been digitally altered to smooth out the skin, brighten the eyes and remove any little imperfection to make them appear 'perfect' but in actual fact they have made them FAKE. These FALSE images create havoc with peoples mental health because they feel inadequate or ugly. 😢

Intimate waxing positions can be a confusing and an embarrassing process of waxing for anyone who’s new to the treatment BUT let me just highlight... every salon has their own ways of waxing.

Here at House of wax, we want you to be in the most dignified & comfortable position for your waxing, that's why you will only EVER be asked to get into two positions and NO ✋🏽 one of them is NOT you on all fours! 😅🤦🏽‍♀️

1.) You will be asked to get into the fetal position for your crack wax.
So laid on your side, knees tucked up to your chest.. simple!

2.) You will then be asked to get into the smear position for your intimate wax. Laid on your back knees bent and feet flat on the couch, then put the soles of your feet together and drop your knees to the side.

❌ FYI THIS IS A NO JUDGEMENT ZONE ☝🏽

Whether you have stretch marks..
Whether you have rolls..
